epicure - melia desert palm hotel

we've been to this place several times and we absolutely love it! they offer fresh and deliciousfood- international options that are well varied. tried several items from their menu and we were never disappointed. the venue is quite idyllic and refreshing against dubai's usual hustle and bustle atmosphere! desserts and beverages are also wonderful, my favorite being the green power blended juice! soo tasty!!

a total hidden gem! not a lot of people know about this place but they have goodfood, peaceful atmosphere and a number of restaurants, the sheesha is decent , all around a must visit!

sheesha is good but the place is filled with cats who do not allow you to sit and enjoy your meal peacefully.foodis 3/10. pretty bland and less quantity.

politely speaking, thefoodwas one of the most mediocre dishes i've ever eaten. thefoodordered were penne pasta and lamb biriyani. not worth the money at all. it will make you want to leave the area as soon as possible. the only good thing was the ambience. good for people who want to relaxe and have sheesha. it's definitely not a place to dine or to enjoy a meal!

if you ever feel like escaping the city’s hustle and bustle, head over to epicure for a peaceful meal by the swimming pool or polo fields. the eatery is located on the lobby level of desert palm hotel and serves fresh delicacies in a relaxing ambiance.
we made ourselves comfortable for lunch here and were impressed to see how freshly baked bread accompanied with in-house sauce and butter was being served at each occupied table. once seated, we ordered the tantalizing blackberry lemonade to quench our thirst. this was prepared with fresh blackberries, lemon and crushed ice and served as an ideal summer drink.
our appetizers included viatnamese fresh spring rolls that were filled with poached prawns, bean sprouts, coriander and mint, and there was the asian spiced marinated salmon sashimi which was superbly done with melon salsa, compressed cucumber and wasabi. the sweet sauce base of the sashimi gave the delicacy a delightful flavor. the dried beef carpaccio turned out to be to be my favorite. it was prepared with lentil, rocket salad, goat cheese crumble and lemon dressing and tasted totally divine.
for the main meal, we had the stir fry egg noodles with prawns which were tossed together with vegetables and oyster sauce to give the dish its signature flavor. the two other dishes that we ordered and enjoyed were the thai chicken green curry which was served with steamed rice, and the lamb chops that were juicy and tender, served with roasted vegetables, sweet potato mash and mint jus.
the dessert was certainly a delight. we tried two kinds, first being the eton mess, a combination of fresh strawberries, strawberry sauce, cream chantilly, baked meringue and strawberry ice cream. it was so beautifully presented that we wished we didn’t have to gobble it up. the toffee pecan tart was equally tempting, done with caramelized pecan tart, honey brandy snap, orange butterscotch sauce and gianduja ice cream.
we ended the meal with a lovely cup of cappuccino, and were pleased with our overall experience here. not only was thefoodand ambiance great, but even the staff was very helpful. you can make a reservation by calling 04 3238888.

i always go to epicure since i live in the same resort. 

the place has a great ambience, relaxing and quiet with an amazing view.
theirfoodoverall is really good, a bit overpriced but reasonable since it's located inside an hotel.

however, i only gave it 3 stars because one of the shisha guys is unprofessional and rude. when i asked for more charcoal he didn't provide with some and said sorry you've been sitting for so long. i have been in many shisha places before and i am sure that i stayed for more time than epicure but i've never been treated this way.

slow and very poor service, on a busy weekend all we had were 2 waiters. all the rest were busy with the shisha cafe on the opposite side. low quality food, the worst burger , we kept gettingfoodon our table which we did not order! . restaurant is a mess! only positive is the quiet location.

wonderfulfoodand the service is impeccable! staff always smiling and checking up on us incase we need anything else. i always feel at home when dining there, home away from home!

it was my wife's birthday and i thought let's go to restaurant which is away from city's hustle and bustle. epicure is based in desert palms near international city. lush green surroundings with an open swimming pool at the entrance with palm trees and nice seating arrangement for people who love to havefoodenjoying the view. service is good. staff is friendly and prompt. the only thing that could make this restaurant from better to best is food. this is where they score the least.foodis below average. but, i would give another try by visiting again during winters and maybe have a cup of tea/coffee and review again. 3/5 ratings is only for the ambience and service. wish thefoodwas equally great.

nice relaxing laid back atmosphere, amazing eats n drinks,foodservice n niccceee sheesha! try the ricotta n spinach tortellini n ricotta cassata.. to die for!! great latte to finish off.. n just before u step out get a few munchies from bateel! always a great way to finish.. ;)
