we stopped here for lunch after visiting venice beach. had the sicilian pasta and the large appetizer. the food was really good, but the service was very slow. it took about 10 minutes to put in the drink order. the rest of the meal was slow too.

i've been coming to fish company (that's what i call it, who has time for such a long name) since before i could talk. honestly, this has been the go to spot for years. back when they had all-you-can-eat crab tuesdays and before they ditched their blender (i'm still very angry about that because they served the best pina coladas) i was here. more often than not my family and i drop in for beer, appetizers and a good time. i love that this place is consistent and the wait is never too crazy. i'm going to just come out and say that if you do anything besides family style i truly don't know what you're doing. being persian and mexican, the only way we know how to eat is family style and even if you order your own dish expect at least 4 other forks to be eating from that plate as well. i love eating this way and if you haven't tried it you're really missing out. my crazy family aside, family style is the way to go here because their appetizers are the real star and it's perfectly okay to get full off of them, so order a lot and share! 

what we ate:

i went with the whole lobster special that i've seen advertised at enterprise fish company for years. their deal is an approximate 2 pound lobster with 2 sides and their warm, delicious, crusty sourdough bread for $37.99 monday - thursday. you can still get this meal on the week-ends, but the price jumps to $57.55 during prime time. i was told the lobster is flown in fresh every day from maine.

best seafood and dining experience!. was at the fish co with my friend a couple of fridays ago. have to say that the lovely ladies at the front desk took great care to make sure i got a nice table. the food and service are at the very top of most restaurants in the area. very fresh sea fiid created in many ways. try their mussels... the best i have had anywhere in the usa. a great place to take yiur family or a special friend. nice job!

a big thumbs up. my daughter and i visited here quite by chance when we were on holiday from scotland and it was excellent i'm a fishmonger from scotland who also catches lobsters and crabs so i'm quite used to having the freshest seafood you can get but this place was just brilliant the lobster was to die for cooked just right and the staff were brilliant spent so long with us telling us where to visit locally, brilliant food brilliant service.

what a great place. all i can say is wow!! great service, good food and a chocolate martini to die for. we had a great waiter who guided us with suggestions and was not shy about saying don't get that get this. he was right on every time. well prepared they actually cook the salmon just right not raw and not like a piece of cardboard. seems that is quite an art and they did it beautifully.
the chocolate martini is something we had never seen before and i cannot wait to go back and have another. if you like chocolate and carmel at all get this drink. (if you don't you are not normal, chocolate is life in my book)
not terribly noisy except when the after work crowd came in for happy hour. but the high ceilings helped send the noise up and not bouncing around like a sitting under a tin kettle.
great place for family and friends to go and enjoy. relaxing and friendly atmosphere. christian is one of the best waiters we have had serve a table.

best meal in the us yet!. day 1 of us trip: heard via word of mouth that enterprise fish co is amazing & the only place to eat around venice;
day 3 of us trip: spend day bike riding and head straight to the restaurant with our stomachs rumbling.
we were so impressed with the efficient, yet non obtrusive table service, the large airy space, the relaxed atmosphere.
the food was divine. it was served in a timely manner, was well presented & above all, delicious. my mouth is still watering thinking of the garlic clam appetiser.
i recommend enterprise fish co to locals & travellers. amazing.

a few years ago, i convinced my good friend and uber specific red-meat carnivore "lindyhopper" to branch out from 'turf' to 'surf' - starting with sea bass. i was so proud of her when she first tried it, and now there's no looking back (ok, so she still won't eat sashimi, but hey, baby steps...). anyways, now the carnivore and the marinavore can eat at select seafood venues together, and for dinela i decided to join her and a group of her friends at enterprise fish co. for their advertised "2lb live maine lobster", as part of a three-course prix fixe for $34! located on the far edge of santa monica, bordering venice, enterprise fish co is a standalone on a small side street off of main. it's a casual dining space with a bar that offers seafood lovers on a budget a relaxed atmosphere to grub - a bit more upscale than red lobster, and much more laid back than mccormick and schmick's. enterprise is a place for a rowdy happy hour, which runs mondays to fridays 4-7pm and sundays 8-10pm at t

cavernous, festive, good fish. huge place, high rafters, lots of fish choices, all delicious. have gone repeatedly. not your intimate dinner. but good informal fun with fresh fish.

red lobsterish. pretty generic for the most part. i have had a few things here and nothing really stands out as extraordinary.
