hidden gem. tucked in the alleyway next to enrico biscotti bakery , the café is easy to pass up as it's not well marked but if you happen to spot it you will be glad you did! the atmosphere i'd describe as rustic-you can see into the kitchen, the walls are brick and filled with pictures, it's very quaint. both of my dining companions ordered the beans and greens-kale,canellini beans, garlic, and olive oil sautéed together-one added a fried egg to it,while the other added both a fried egg and chicken. they both finished the plates raving about it-also saying the rusticbreadserved with it was delicious too. i ordered the fig jam and mozzarella pizza. while only being a four cut pizza, it was a large four cut pizza but was so tasty i finished the entire thing! the fig jam added a unique sweetness to the pie and the mozzarella used on the pizza was excellent quality. the crust was thin and fluffy-very light. many of the pastas looked good as did some of the sandwiches. this was authentic italian at it's best. the owner was there as well and was very friendly; i can't wait to go back and try some of the other menu items!

i have been back since the original review and can report they have many other delicious menu items and always have great specials! most recently i rad a rabbit ragu that was to die for and a prosciutto, mozzerella, tomato pizza that was excellent! it's usually a wait but never too bad. this is truly a hidden gem in the strip!

enrico's is located in the cool strip distrcit and there's a great looking restaurant and even their homemade wines were delicious. so i had some wine while waiting for my cafe au lait. they offered freebies and i accepted. they even hadbreadmaking courses on site - you're expected to show up in your pj's. i could crawl out of bed to make my way to the enrico biscotti company anyday.

bread class review. i went with my boyfriend to enrico'sbreadclass a few weeks ago. before we even got in the car i had a good feeling - at the last minute i had to reschedule and they were exceedingly gracious about it. once we got there, a huge spread of pasta, cheese, pastries, sausages, hash, quiche, chicken livers, pretty much everything was out on the table for our consumption. definitely don't make the mistake of having anything for breakfast - there was so much to try, and it was all great. while we were stuffing our faces, the owner described history through the lens of breadmaking. this was far from the full story, so i wasn't completely sold on the narrative, but it was an interesting theory to think about. he got progressively more daring and boisterous as the class went on, which was relatively amusing. we went over how to make a nice skin on dough, what not to do to bread, how to make focaccia and a myriad of other topics. he had genuinely interesting stories and tips that made the hours fly by. i'd take some of his monologues with a grain of salt but it was definitely a fun experience, and we will definitely try to return for dinner someday.

love the biscotti. i've been to both enrico's bakery and the restaurant multiple times--you should too! the menu is small but fresh, and i find that it changes often. the ingredients that they put together are just delicious and i'm surpised that it's not more busy whenever i stop by! i definitely recommend the breakfast menu, especially with thebreadpudding, which comes with orange marmalade, butter, and warmed nutella! i've also loved that with each lunch, i've gotten a sampler of their biscotti, which you can conveniently purchase next door and take home to enjoy later!

love it. love enrico's baked goods, breads and their meals in their little restaurant.

i went to theirbreadmaking class with my mom, her friend and my girlfriend and we had a blast. the baker and owner was the one giving the class and he explained to us in minute detail the historical triumphs ofbreadand how it fits into everything as a cause-and-affect relationship. he was incredibly cheerful and informative.

at 50 dollars a person you get a huge breakfast. when i say huge i mean an entire long table full of pastries, cookies, muffins, homemade pastas, bean dishes, homemade sausage, freshly bakedbreadand many many more that i can't even remember. the beginning of the class is stuffing your face and passing the plates around like a big family as you are told about bread.

making thebreadwas a lot of fun. the dough was already made and ready to go; all we did was kneed it (he showed us the correct way) and toss it into their awesome wood fired oven. thebreadmaking class isn't at all about the actual making of the bread. it's more about familiarizing yourself with whatbreadis, learning good techniques and throwing away bad ones and separating the facts and myths of culinary. when you get home you have the knowledge and motivation to then go and make some of your own bread. it was a lot of fun and i would definitely do it again!

hidden gem!. i used to go down to the strip district every saturday to get various things and always stopped by for lunch. it's a tiny, little cafe with just a few people working.

sometimes you getbreadwith olive oil, which is amazing. they make theirbreadfresh every day and the olive oil has several different herbs in it (including rosemary) and is delicious. i always get a pizza. it's cooked perfectly with not too much cheese and huge pieces of basil. they use very fresh ingredients and the menu changes on a daily basis. the wine fairy tends to be around and offers everyone a taste of wine that they make there.

the biscotti are also very good. i love the cinnamon ones and bought the small bags of them for christmas presents- my grandma loved them and has me pick her up some whenever i'm down there!

you have to love simple and delicious. enrico's - where you can taste what you're eating. no overly complex flavors to worry about. everything here is simple and delicious. from thebreadto the cannoli, it's all good here. don't forget about the buckeyes and the espresso cookies. and then there's lunch and if you're luck you can get signed up for one of the throw down dinners - well worth it!
