empire slice house / easy e slice shop is pretty popular in the okc area. main reason being because the food is very good. the service is average on their best days however, and it amazes me after my last three “attempts” at ordering food from them that their business model keeps them afloat. and then i realize how expensive they are compared to other local pizzerias. due to them charging more i’ve found it gives them the opportunity to turn customers away when the feel fit. not everyone wants to go into an obnoxious environment to have a decent, although expensive, slice of pizza. the last time we went in to try and pick up an order myself, we were almost in two fender benders, because that area is so packed with people and traffic it’s a wonder there isn’t emergency services on standby there. so, we stopped going there directly because of the “crowd” that is attracted there, as well as not wanting to have a chance to pay my deductible every time i want to pick up a slice. but, it’s 2019 right, there are services out there where someone will go and pick up the pizza and bring it to you. you pay the fee to avoid all that. well, you’d think that, but empire slice house / easy e slice shop will literally refuse to accept these services on behalf for you. this returns me to my point of the last three “attempts” at trying to order food from them. if you try and pull up postmates or doordash on a night they decide they’re too busy, it won’t let you order. i thought to pre-order ahead of time, which i thought was reasonable to give them ten hours heads up by placing the order in the mornings for scheduled time. wrong, easy e slice promptly called me this morning to tell me they don’t accept the order. i’ve never experienced a company that tries so hard to turn away customers. i’m done with it now, they’ve made it clear they don’t want my business. if you do not want to deal with the above, i would recommend falcones pizzeria off may if up north, and joey’s pizzeria off sheridan in film row district near downtown.
