food is disappointing. kids left their mac and cheese on the plate ...seriously bland. good service, high prices, disappointing meal.

great cornbeef sandwich. my father came in for the holiday and we ate at the eleven city diner three times in the two days he was here. the first time we were running late to get to the field museum before they closed. i asked my father if he would be willing to wrap up the second half of his cornbeef sandwich so we could make it to the museum. he flat out refused, saying "i'm not leaving here till i finish this sandwich!" needless to say we ended up enjoying the adler planetarium with a bellies full of corned beef. i recommend the woody allen and if you bring a scotch-irishmen who loves cornbeef, a timetable.

gr8 m8. i am forming a strong movement to occupy this diner. it was, to say the very least, amazing. in our 5 days in chicago we visited this delectable diner 3 times. yes, that's right, 3 times. perfect customer service and friendliness every time. sandwiches, holy moly, the springer sandwich... if one could have a relationship with a sandwich this would be the one to go for, i'll leave it up to the readers to discover more, but please, use your imagination. if i were rich enough, i would regularly fly from australia to have lunch here. if you are in chicago and don't go here - what's wrong with you? if you have been here and didn't like it - you are clearly a simple person.

mmmmm...we went two days in a row. pesto omelette & house french toast were both delicious. great coffee, great atmosphere, homer's ice cream!

great atmosphere, friendly staff, and matzoball soup & corned beef sandwiches that are pretty much a perfection of the art. they achieve exactly what they are aiming for w/ this great deli/diner!

delicious pancakes. eggs were perfect. atmosphere was great. & the waiter was outstanding.

packed, loud, and delicious. the french toast is killer, with a perfect combination of strawberries, bananas, and toasted coconut. the bloody marys are also good, as they should be at almost 10 bucks a pop.

the service is nice , and they take care of you. if you go during peak hours, expect to wait a while.

do not expect a quiet, relaxing meal. the place is loud and bustling.

not good. the bbq sandwich tasted like week-old leftovers and the maitre'd wouldn't seat me anywhere other than the bar because i was alone, even though several booths were available. will avoid this place in future.

i have no idea why only 80% of people like this place. it is awesome we had 5 people and everyone loved what they had.

loved it!. the lox was delicious!! cool, chill atmosphere, and the bloody mary's were superb! thanks for the free t-shirts!
