gorgeous, glorious meat. the 900g beast of a cut was succulent, smoky, tender, and so tasty! the spuds were so soft on the inside and crispy on the outside, well-seasoned and perfectly accompanied the meat. we also had empanadas, which were bursting full of meat, wrapped in a light, crispy pastry, and came with a bold, fresh salsa that definitely had a nice kick of spice. i loved the tomahawk, it’s an absolute must-try, but it was only available in october. i hope they bring it back! the meat mains come with a salad, one sauce, and a side. i think the guacamole is a bit bland, but the ‘salsa de tamarindo’ sauce is amazing - sour and spicy. as for the sides, baby potatoes are just boiled potatoes, arepa tastes a bit like cardboard, but holy goodness - yuca! it’s wedges outta this world! crispy on the outside but somehow soft and chewy on the inside! i wish i could have a whole box of the stuff, sit at home and eat it all day. anyway, everybody goes on about the short ribs ... it’s okay. it’s soft and melts away from the bones even with a fork, but to be honest, i find it not-so-amazing, flavour-wise, without the sauce (tamarind sauce). but with the sauce, i love it 😂😋👌🏻
