barstaffsuper friendly on arrival and even got my drink in the middle of making a big order of cocktails. food is fantastically priced and taco had the perfect amount of zing. waitstaffwere polite, fast and efficient and food was on the table within 10 minutes of ordering. i'll be back tomorrow night!

every sunday! love this place. thestaffare onto it. they're fast and friendly. the food is great and comes out so quickly. this is definitely my favourite mexican spot !

came here on a tuesday night, got a table no worries. we ordered the salsa board, chicken tostada & nachos all delicious & generous sizing. the food came quickly which we were after on a week night - pricing is super reasonable especially for the generous sizing. thestaffwas very helpful & very knowledgeable about the beer being served. look forward to coming back soon

great place but thestaffare beyond awful. its happened a couple of times now and the first few times i brushed it off but on visiting a few weeks back and queuing for a drink for 20 mins i got served by some young guy with a mustache and a baseball cap on and suddenly my mate who is stood next to me changes his mind on what drink he wanted so i said to the guy one second mate and he walks of and serves someone else and glares back at me, he then comes over and says don't waste my time i wont waste yours... i was absolutely furious. customer services?????? if i owned a place like this i would sack that cretin for being rude! go make $15 an hour somewhere else where customer service isn't a requirement - jerk!

if you’re looking for a place where you can smell the sea, listen to some funky tunes, whilst simultaneously enjoying some of the best mexican perth has to offer, then el grotto is that place. i have the time of my life every time i am there. all thestaffare incredible, always smiling and know the key aspects of delivering the best service possible. the weekends are always a hoot. get down early to avoid happy hour rush and you’ve got yourself in for a night of incredible cocktails, amazing dj’s and a boogie. personally i have experienced some pretty amazing times there, from sipping on glasses of red whilst checking out art exhibitions by local artists, to enjoying their famous fried chicken on wednesday’s. thursday nights are my personal favourite - band night where you can head down, enjoy some tacos, listen to live music and froth over the fact it’s almost the weekend. don’t let me get started on their guacamole. $9.00, generous portion size and it is bloody delicious.

great bar. good service, betterstaffand a huge menu of food & drink. always seems to be bloody great music too! will definitely be back!

el grotto, im not one to come online and to review places even if i have had a bad experience, but, when i get treated like im not there by security and the door girl, then i tend to get a tad bit upset! 
the door girl needs to go! she is this stuck up arrogant human which just looks down on patrons like they are no bodies! she has no respect and treats the male patrons like there no bodies! 
if you do ever plan on coming to this god forsaken whole in a wall, then dont bring any males with you especially if they are body builders because they will treat you like the plague as i experience last night! 

the manager on the other hand just stands there refusing and banding patrons from entering the venue based on "sorry your too big"! seriously, if someone is too big and ur scared, then get a better security team! its a bloody bar, what is ur problem! the barstaffon the other hand are the most amazing, kind and attentive bunch i have come across in a while! 

food is a rip off, $20 for 4 tiny little tacos, like come on! i get it, its perth, but seriously! 

but the worst thing at this venue is still that door girl! shes the definition of what is wrong with perths night life! get rid off her! 

and also i do not recommend anyone to come to this venue!

the whole experience was amazing!! you feel that you went to mexico and went back in half an hour😍 the food was very yummy its spicy but it's delicious especially the tacos 😍😍 thestaffvery friendly very welcoming. they give the feeling you r at a mexican home... we loved the place
