egg & i

saw the parking lot was full and knew we had to stop in. it was no disappointment. the menu had tons of options and thefoodwas cooked perfectly and delicious. our server, patrick, was excellent. he did not miss one step. the welcome muffin and the offer to take coffee to go as we were to leave was a great touch. skip breakfast on the strip and come out here.

we had breakfast here twice in a span of four days. we had a car so we could easily do the drive of 10 minutes from our hotel at treasure island to this restaurant.

on a friday morning, around 10 am, there was no wait for our family of 5. alexa, our server, was very pleasant and efficient. the omelettes were great, the kids enjoyed the pancakes and waffles, and while i'm no muffin fan, their banana nut muffins were really amazing. the place was packed the entire time we were there, and there was a much longer lineup when we left.

the one downside to me was their home fries...called something-diablo home fries. it's basically barbecue lay's seasoning...i could've lived with normal home fries, these weren't really good.

on our 2nd visit (sunday morning around 11), the wait was about 15-20 minutes which was fine. but once we ordered, it took almost 30 minutes for ourfoodto come out...apparently there was a table of 20 which caused ourfoodto be late. not very happy about that...when it finally came, my eggs benedict was pretty good.

would definitely go back, though, since the prices on the strip are higher on sides.

i have eaten at an egg and i in valdosta ga, not sure if this is the same chain or not. thefoodwas okay and servers were very friendly. and it's not on the strip

the free muffin!  was, so, good!  i think it was the banana nut muffin that they give you on the house as you flipped through the menu and ordered some more yummy food.  it was so buttery and soft and warm and... even though mine looked like someone had taken a chunk from it i ate it without hesitation.  that's how good it was.

i forgot to write down exactly what i ordered so you'll have to look through my pictures.  all i can say is that thefoodwas good and it tasted like good old american greasy spoon breakfast without being actually all that greasy.  i've had worse breakfasts that were unnecessarily greasy.  this place has just enough grease to make your meal satisfying without bogging you down too much.  you'll be satisfied but you won't feel completely gross afterwards.  the portion sizes are huge and you should share it if you can hold back from ordering (i couldn't).  my mouth is watering right now as i write!  the country fried steak, the pancakes, the beef ribs, the scrambled eggs... everything was just perfect.  this included the service too.  attentive but not intrusive.  what more do you want?  rent a car if you are not a local and come check this place out!

amazing!! an absolute must stop!!. my wife and i were in vegas for business and before the trip i researched the surrounding area to look for a great place to eat. the egg and i did not disappoint. the restaurant was decorated in a very cool, fun way for you or if you have a family. we noticed all types of patrons in this establishment, from families, couples, friends, retirees, etc. this place caters to all.

thefoodwas excellent (i mean eggcellent) and we will be going there every time we are in town. the stuffed strawberry cream cheese french toast was incredible. we asked for no whip cream on the french toast (we dont like whip cream) and the fruit compote on the side. it was absolutely to die for. we couldn't stop eating and loved every bite! we also ordered the avocado and bacon omeletteand that was absolutely delicious. we savored every bite!

you will love this place. oh, and don't forget to order their, in our minds, world famous banana nut muffin. you have never tasted anything quite like it anywhere! this may sound silly, but the muffin was the bomb! :)

another aspect of the restaurant that should not be overlooked is the staff is super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. thanks to jackie for taking such good care of us. her co-workers were also helpful too. jackie came by multiple times to ensure we were pleased and wanted to now if we needed anything, even though they have a system with a black or yellow egg sign on each table to signal to the staff that you need assistance. amazing all around!!

had the bacon, avocado & cheese omelette. first, the potatoes come seasoned... and i mean really seasoned. bbq chips seasoned. it felt weird at first and i thought it would be way too salty to eat them all but it was really tasty. the omelette however was awful: it was completely overcooked, chewy and rubbery. i think it is because they cook the bacon inside the egg batter... anyways, it did not taste eggs at all and i ate barely half of it. sourdough toast with it was also overdone... pretty disappointingfoodbut service was friendly

thefoodis really good. the service was good as well. the quality of the breakfast here is some of the best i've had in vegas. better than any buffet. plus it's away from the strip. off the beaten path.

egg & i. ok, so when you're in vegas, and you get to that point when you're sick of eating out for every meal, go here! this is the most 'home cooked' tasting restaurant breakfast i've had in a long time. the portions are so big it's too muchfoodfor the average human to consume in one sitting. the choices are so vast that there's something there for the plain jane who just wants bacon and eggs, and plenty to choose from for the more adventurous as well.
