the beetroot, duck doughnut and the cod were delicious.. the duck and waffle was excellent.
the t bone was fine, but everything else, including the burnt cabbage beneath it, stewed in butter and capers (yes, capers...with butter) proclaims a complete lack of culinary culture. my favourite small plates were the raw tuna and duck doughnut and, of the main courses, the steak was unbelievable and everyone loved the duck and waffle for its combination of flavours. we treated ourselves to dessert with a surprisingly alcoholic espresso martini. the chocolate fondant was lovely but the hot banoffee dessert was the real winner in the taste stakes.
