its time to go international... i'm ordering a ruben sandwich at an irish pub in canada! plus the sheppards pie. we upgraded the plain chips to rosemary and bacon mayo!

the shepherds pie was ok, nothing brilliant. it was missing the flavour but it was very filling. the ruben wasgoodbut it needed more pickles. the toasted press was a nice touch. both were a little small in size when you compare the size of the share meals and snacks.

the rosemary and bacon mayo is a must!! it adds all new levels of flavour and everything's better with bacon!

the service is good, quick and the waitresses are friendly. there's table service and the place is fun. expect to have a chat with everyone at the bar.

i had supper this evening at dubh linn gate irish pub. 

appetizers were $10 and i ordered wings with buffalo sauce. they were tasty.

at 9pm, chad oliver started singing a mix of songs. he was good.

tia was my server. she was friendly and tookgoodcare of me.

i use to love but now i won't go back.. we use to go to this pub every time we visited whistler. it was our go to place and would stay for hours drunking beer and eating great food. now service is very lacking and food is disgraceful. when my brother went in earlier in the day he sat down and waited to order a drink. after 20mins wait in he left. we then went for dinner thinking maybe it was because he was alone and they didn't notice. we found a spot and our server came by right away. great we were happy. then after ordering food, she never came back. we were waiting to order more beer and never got to order more. our food as well was so dffrent then what we ordered last year. one order was the same as last year and portion size was 1/3 what we had last time and same cost. my order was to come with fries and never did, couldn't even ask for it because our server never came back. got our bill and she dumped the machine on our table and left again. we couldn't even leave for another 15mins because we had the credit machine with us. food wise the only thinggoodwas the nachos was large enough for one person to be full. everyone elce ate more when we got home.

just average food for some really high prices.. wasn't really too impressed, considering the high prices. i don't mind payinggood$$ for exceptional dishes. we've had the fish and chips before and they are average. the peices of fish were small and stuck together. fries were fries.

this time we ordered the guiness burger. pretty plain jane burger for $16.50 if you ask me and a small cup of fries. i could of gone to furniture wear house down the village stroll and got the same burger and cup of fries for $4.95. ok there's def a bit more flavor in the beef but not worth 3x the price.

the clam chowder soup was delicious. but if your not a salt freak like i am, you'll be salted out. it was the end of the barrell and the last soup ordered so maybe that's why it was so salty. and trust me, i'm the last person to complain about things being too salty. i do love my salt. lol

and to top off our entire experience, the food took foreeeeeeeeeeeeevr. we were there over an hour. our burger took so long that we asked if we could get some soup just to tie us over. and even then, the soup took about 15min. the server had to go get it herself. and this isn't the first time the dishes have taken a really long time.

but on agoodnote, there is always agoodvibe there. always live bands playing, verygoodatmosphere and really lively.

i love breakfast. conveniently, the dubh linn gate irish pub, which was attached to our hotel, the pan pacific mountainside, serves breakfast until noon. we ate there a few times; once for dinner and twice for breakfast. the night we tried it for dinner, it was very busy. it is “seat yourself” so we looked around for a table and eventually found one on the patio. it took a few minutes for a server to notice us, but once she did the service was quite quick. we weren’t super hungry so we each only ordered a bowl of soup; tomato for me, clam chowder for my companion. both soups were good, but that’s all i can really say about their dinner menu, since we didn’t try anything else. i did see that they have typical pub food on their menu: nachos, burgers, irish stew etc. and they have live music at night which always makes for agoodevening. all their meals come with a basket of irish soda bread for the table. i’d never heard of it before but we both really liked it. it was similar to the co

had their stew, supergoodbut the smallest portion size. they shrunk it from the last time i was there. at $18 including the up charge on a mini caesar salad...ouch!!

passable. first time there. had a smoked meat sandwich. was eatable but nothing special. service sucked. initially, sat outside and we asked for separate bills. there were 4 of us and we moved indoors because it became too cold outside which at the point the waitress commented that we could not have separate bills but we did end up with separate bills. our food arrived at a reasonable time but the other part of our group who were still outside had a long wait their food. music wasgoodand prices reasonable but i would not go back.

used to be great, recently returned and was disappointed to see the menu had changed. shephards pie was bland, seafood chowder wasn't bad, but not asgoodas it had been. cobb salad was overpowered by blue cheese. soda bread had changed to something else entirely. music was still good, service was excellent and still in cute kilts, but food was a let-down!

skip the entrees....got to whistler a few days ago and wanted to find agoodspot for hot wings and beer. even though the wings are $13, they're fantastic. we also had the chips and they were great too. that was yesterday. so we thought their dinner would be just as good, if not better. well we were wrong. we went in tonight and had the wings to start which were great again and then my wife had the shepard's pie and i had the steak sandwich. i ordered the steak medium and it came to my table rare. mistakes happen and so i requested a new steak. after a few minutes, the same steak came back to me on the same baguette (which was now soggy) and arugula which was now wilted. my old fries were now cold and the whole experience was disappointing. my wife's shepard's pie was very small and bland. costco's shepard's pie is 10 times more flavorful which isn't saying much. the waitress gave us a quick sorry but didn't really go out of her way to correct the issue. next time we're in whistler we'll come for hot wings/beer but that's it. nice atmosphere and great live bands but skip the entrees.

nice place, plenty of draft beer choices, 20 oz. pints, pleasant pub decor, excellent food both quantity and quality,goodmusic. i would go back for sure.
