double roti

the service was impeccable. one of the best restaurants i've been to in recent times. a refreshing change to the og double roti. the person who attended us was really good. his name is arithro. do check the place out. the chicken lasagna is to die for and thepizzawas a blessing.

extremely satisfied with the service. we ordered a dish and it was on the blander side and a bit sweet. i prefer spicier. so when i got the dish i ate some and asked for the condiments. the manager saw that and asked me himself any changes i'd like and then offered to spice up the dish. and he did this without me even asking which i think was just spectacular. so service is a 6/5. food was also good. thepizzathin crust was great.

the packaging is poor. entirepizzais towards one side

chipotle chicken burger and area69 burger - one of the best burgers i have had in chennai.

cajun grilled bbqpizza-pizzawas amazing too. large and enough for 2-3 people.

all the meat and ingredients used were fresh and juicy. one small dislike was the patty is area 69 had some small chunks of cartilage. also the prices were too high(much more than what's on the menu). not sure if menu is outdated or if delivery prices have been jacked up for no reason.

but the taste made me forget about the price :-)

have been a big fan of theirs from gurgaon, so was super excited to try them in chennai. ordered in a couple of times and they didn't disappoint. fantastic burgers, pizzas and desserts ! strongly recommend. their mexican wave burger and turkish burger were mindblowing. also tried their hoodlumpizzaand banoffee pie. banoffee pie could have been slightly better but i'll still give this one a 5. took me back to galleria days !!

everyone must visit this place. awesome food. the price is a bit on the higher side but the food is ultimate. i tried burgers ,pizza, fries , hot chocolate and everything was really good. the staff is good.
the god fatherpizzais awesome , area 69 burger is really good and hot chocolate is a must try.

* ambience: 
wordless to explain the interior with antique color touch in black and comfortable seat arrangements in a short place. if we want a nice place with our loved once to spend more time in mild lighting, this is the place.

* service: 
not a great service but a good service. they were not approaching once the first order is over. may be they are giving us space to talk more..:)

* food:  
burrito -->we started with a burrito which is not worth in taste even though price is bit lower on comparing with other mexican restos. 

area69--> anxiety started with the name but ended in a border. heard that double roti is famous for its burgers. but its neither bad nor good kind of burger 

the  godfather--> really a godfather of all pizza, i had so far. such deliciouspizzawith a soft base and sufficient fillings of cheesy beef, pepperoni and prawn. perfect treat for taste buds..

buffalo wings 0⭐ (it was just plain cold wings coated with spicy sauce which was also cold. i complained about it they said it's supposed to be cold only the kitchen staff was very rude regarding the same) later i understood that chef is not qualified enough so i cancelled it. food was very average tandoori chicken fries was good.

p.s swiggy delivery guy walked into the restaurant to pick up the order. the staff became very rude and blasted the delivery guy and he was being very rude to him. he refused to give the order and chased him out. never visiting such a place with zero customer service, such low quality food and no humanity. i have no clue how they have 4.4⭐

dishes and drinks are highly priced with nothing new to offer for vegetarians, instead old menu was good with maggie, turkish delight burger was served without pickles and sour curd which is necessary,pizzawas very delicious, shakes are tasty with no new flavours and priced high.

would give this place a 4.5 just for their food and great service..!!  was here on a weekend lunch and the place was easy to spot but had trouble with parking..!!

wings sampler - the best way to start your lunch.  of the 3, their boston bbq wings was the winner..!! what a sauce..!! amazing..!!

butter chicken cigars - it was more or less like a chicken spring roll without the veggies..!!

fresh basil and chicken pasta - served fresh, served hot and finger licking good..!!

cajun grilled b.b.qpizza- amazing pizza, great portion and great taste..!!

nutty affair shake to go with was simply too thick and too yumm..!!  one of the best shakes i have had..!!

will definitely be here for a second time.

went there for dinner, lovely little place. no parking available which was a let down and we had to search a good 10minutes to park the car somewhere on the same road.
coming to the food
tried the buffalo wings for starter. good taste overall.
beef burger- juicy and well cooked.
cajun chicken pizza- this one was a let down, the sauce overpowered thepizzaand the meat itself.
oreo milkshake- decent, nothing too great.
the dishes were slightly on the expensive side.

a very popular place in chennai with more then 3 outlets. came over here for lunch with my friends. the place is in teynampet. the place has very good ambience and looks a bit classy. this place looks pretty much italian and continental cuisine. now let us talk about the food. 

soups:- 

tomato basil soup and creamy spinach chicken soup, soups were but, i like the part were they put bread in tomato soup, i gave me childhood vibes. 

starters:-

we had a lot of starters over here, started with the salad, it was called sante fe chicken salad. it had a lot of veggies and chicken in it, and the sauces were fine. 
we had 2 types of cigars, one was butter chicken cigar and the other one was cheese and jalapenos cigar. cigar basically means, it is in the shape of a cylinder, like a roll, they tasted pretty good with the sauces they had, guess it was island sauce. then we had bruschetta, a toasted bread on top of which we have some veggies. i had tomato basil bruschetta. then we had eggs benedict, since it had beef, i did not touch it. my friends liked it. 

main course:-

we had a lot of main courses as well, started with 2 kinds of pizza, the chickenpizzaand hoodium pizza, hoodiumpizzais veg. the pizzas were a bit thick. they were a bit hard. if they had made it thin crust pizza, it would have great. the taste was a bit plank but with chilli an oregano, it was good. then we had something called spice bolongnaise, it was a pasta kind of dish, the pasta was something i have never tried it before. it was okay. then tried the classic agilo olio, a noodles. it was awesome. it was bit spicy but okay, i really loved it. then we tried the buffalo chicken burger, a pig piece of chicken in the middle, the burger was filling but with the help of my friends we ate it. my friends tried pulled pork sandwich and they really loved it, sadly i do not eat pork either. 

drinks:-
 
we had lime mint cooler, abc, masala lemonade and strawberry ice tea. it was seriously pretty good coolers over here. really loved it. the masala lemonade had some pepper it in, the abc was a beautiful combination of 3 fruits. strawberry ice tea was probably the one i did not like much. 

deserts:-

out of the 3 deserts that i had, which are flourless cream cake, mud cake, and ice cream cake.....i just fell in love with the ice cream cake. it was a peanut butter ice cream cake and it was just heavenly. the cake just melts in your mouth with a peanut flavour. it is just the best thing i had over here so far. the other 2 cakes were also fine, but i loved the peanut butter cake infinity times. 

over all i love this place. their service is fast and quick with friendly staff. a nice place to hangout with your friends and office buddies. do check this place out guys. my rating would be

this place has been the favourite for many people for many years. i recently had been there for their launch of their new menu.
the ambiance is very good and the staff were so friendly.
the service was very quick and each and every dish of their new menu tastes so good and the fries patty burger and the mud chocolate oreo tasted so good together.
the chickenpizzataste good and the chicken cigars are a must try at the place.
the hot chocolate was served with hot marshmallows which was so tasty and the richness of the chocolate.

ordered gofellaspizzaand double trouble burger.

double roti’s strength is their burger and it did not let down this time as well.

but thepizzawas quite average . the quality of cheese used was poor and mayo on top ofpizzadid not do any help . they are competing with the fast foodpizzachains and that’s not what double roti should be doing . they need a niche and that should reflect in the toppings and quality of cheese used.
