great mexican restaurant. donpedro'scantina is in our top 3 favorite neighborhood restaurants. the food is fantastic. the drinks are made very well. we are looking forward to being there for cinco de mayo again this year. maria, romeo and all the staff treat you like family. when our family comes to visit from indiana, donpedro'scantina is always a "must go to" destination restaurant.

authentic mexican flavor. donpedro'sin miramar is not like other mexican restaurants in the area, which becomes apparent as soon as you taste their salsa, as it is significantly hotter than any other you'll find around these parts of florida! my family is from texas, and i'm back over there visiting often, and one of our favorite things to do is to go to authentic mexican restaurants, the kind where most of the workers don't even speak english, to enjoy the spicy flavor. but as soon as i'm back home to destin, it always amazes me when i go back to donpedro'shere, that the food is just as good, while most other mexican restaurants in the area are one big chain and taste about like taco bell. but not don pedros, who has a lot of seafood options on their menu, all of which are always fresh and delicious. and if you want something really amazing, ask for some of their secret jalapeño sauce, which will really light you up, but then they have all the best mexican beers on draft to cool you back down. all in all my favorite place in destin, which says a lot!

yummy with a smile!. we have had two dinners at donpedro'sin the past week and both have been sooooo good. we love mexican food, but don't always feel it's "good" for you. donpedro'scombines wonderful top shelf margaritas ( more orange than lime and yet we love them), and great mexican flavors, without the un-healthy fat of most mexican restaurants. the windows :-) and the inside of the restaurant are clean and romeo, our waiter, is the best! he knows the menu, and has a great outgoing, smiling personality. you feel like they're happy that you're there! we've had two different menu items and they have both been above any we've had in destin in the last 13yrs. i would recommend it to anyone in any age group! we're already looking forward to our next trip back! dennis and andrea soltis, destin, fl

great mexican food at a friendly price!. donpedro'sis a nice little gem in miramar beach. tucked in a little strip center, you might not expect mexican food this good. the beef fajitas were outstanding (if you like it spicy, make sure you ask for the spicy sauce - only served on request). my daughter got a chicken quesadilla that she raved about (and she doesn't compliment food easily). and my son said his chimichanga was absolutely stuffed with very flavorful chicken. and of course, we had romeo as our waiter. ask for romeo - it makes the whole experience worth the trip!!

fresh and excellent mexican food. i'm originally from los angeles where we have an abundance of great mexican food. donpedro'scantina is equal to any of the best mexican food i've ever had anywhere. if you need crazy, noisy atmosphere then this is not the place. it's in an unassuming, small strip mall. the decor is simple, clean, nothing special. it's all about the food.

they make conventional dishes you find in most american mexican restaurants - burritos, tacos, enchiladas, quesadillas - but they make them with fresh ingredients and they taste great!

it started with chips and salsa - the first thing i judge every mexican restaurant on. they were light, crisp, warm and tasty. the salsa was slightly spicy, not too hot, not too gringo. it's not the chunky kind of salsa, but enough substance that it sticks to the chips.

we don't drink alcohol, so we didn't order margaritas, but the table nearby seemed to really like their margaritas. they serve pepsi products, which i don't like, but surprisingly enough, the diet pepsi was actually good.

i ordered their burrito tipico, which is supposed to come with "cheese dip" sauce. that sounded gross, so i asked for their ranchero sauce instead. i got it with the pulled chicken. it was fantastic. the chicken was very tender and full of flavor and a generous serving of it in the burrito. the "red sauce" was great and the refried beans were really tasty. normally i just leave the rice, but even their rice was moist and flavorful.

my wife got the "mamas enchiladas" with chicken. she loved them. she was so happy they used corn tortillas, some places use flour tortillas with enchiladas, but donpedro'smakes them the "right way". :-)

for dessert we order sopapillas. they were perfect, just like they make them in the southwest - light, pillowy and lightly crisped on the outside. since we were having them for dessert, they were served with a drizzle of honey and chocolate sauce and lightly dusted with cinnamon sugar. again, delicious!

they were very friendly there and i only hope they will have enough steady customers to stay in business. it was not very busy, but it sure deserves to be. we sure hope they're still around the next time we're vacationing in destin. if we lived here, we'd be eating there all the time.

come hungry!. we are originally from ok where mexican food is plentiful and very delicious.
we spend a good deal of time at our place in miramar beach as well and rely on donpedro'sto provide our mexican food fix!

always fresh, never boring food and great happy hour or daily drink specials top off our meals. we always recommend it to our friends and family.

best mexican around, moved here from texas and missed the good mexican food, found donpedro'sand love it, would highly recommend it!! great food, love the service and the people who work there! plus you can always walk to the beach after a couple of margaritas and come back for for!

dine in or take out, it doesn't matter, its always perfect!. donpedro'sis our favorite place period! the staff serve up top quality food with an a+ attitude. we love everything about don pedros. excellent margarita's, drink specials, and atmoshpere. we recommend donpedro'sto everyone we meet. if you haven't tried it, get over there now for some tres tacos! at don pedro's, you will always leave full and happy!\

super yummy!. we are serious seafood eaters, especially when we are in destin. but we had a mexican craving. tried donpedro'ssince it was close to our beach house. we were not disappointed. excellent margaritas and food!

great service, great fajitas, great find!. we visited donpedro'son a chilly spring break evening. the staff was wonderful....especially victor and romeo!!!! our family was greeted and seated promptly upon arrival. although the restaurant was packed with a mix of locals and multi-aged spring breakers, our two young children , husband, and i received our drinks immediately. plenty of staff members passed by to check if we needed anything throughout our stay. the food was well prepared. i had the steak fajitas.....awesome! margaritas were delicious. we were in the mood for mexican and checked reviews online for places in or around destin. donpedro'sis in the back of a strip mall so they don't have the opportunity for big publicity like other stand alone places. i would definitely recommend trying them out. yummy yummy yummy:)

wonderful experience. very clean, very friendly. staff provided good recommendations! novice mexican food eater, am i. romeo made my experience at donpedro'sdelightful! try the chicken fajita salad. it was out of this world!

we have eaten at donpedro'sseveral times and enjoyed it each time. the staff is wonderful. they all seem to enjoy seeing new customers, and do everything they can to make you feel welcome. romeo is a wonderful host. the food is excellent and reasonable. we love the salsa, and the margaritas are perfect. they have great specials and take good care of seniors.
we'll be going back again soon.
