new to saskatoon, i was on the hunt for a light breakfast & a cappuccino. being mother's day, i finally landed here after a string of other places overfilled with brunch goers. it was just what i wanted. it's in a lovely residential area, the cafe is bright & buzzing with locals, the cappuccino wasnice& the breakfast sandwich was tasty.

the cakes, soups, sandwiches and drinks i have had has all been good quality. i like that d'lish offers a wide range of soups through out the week. this is aniceplace for a lunch date or casual business meeting. also they're open late for you to stop by and have some excellent cheese cake.

i've been going to d'lish a lot of times. i love the coconut lattes (on the photo) and the coconut iced latte (in summer), the muffins and scones. the sandwiches are also really good (i have tried the turkey for thanksgiving and the chicken chipotle).  unfortunately, one of those times i got a plate (to serve my muffin) and it was stuck with another plate with gum. how disgusting!!. the waitress even agreed that this was disgusting and apologize for the inconvenience. after this i stopped going so frequent. until today i got asked by the owner to move tables because i was sitting by myself on a 4 people table (i am very aware that this table could have been used by other people but when i first arrived there were no more smaller tables for me to sit on which is why i had to sit on a big table). in my opinion: you could not control where people sit and make them move because your place is too small to fit another table. if you want to start doing this then get a hostess!! this was very disrespectful and i felt so uncomfortable that i decided to leave (leaving my entire latte on the table). needless to say i will not be returning again. overall: the products are reallyniceand "homemade" at least for saskatoon. however, this does not standout with the horrible experience i've had.

if you want homemade soup and sandwiches for lunch you will love it. the coconut sweet potato soup was very flavourful and sweet with maybe a bit of depth missing. the red pepper soup had a verynicespice warmth to it. the panini are more a sandwich than classic panini but have good ingredients.

i came here for some cheesecake tonight. i ordered the oreo and turtles cheesecake. hands down the best cheesecake i've eaten in saskatoon! it is so rich and moist, whereas other cheesecakes i've tried have been dry. the atmosphere in the restaurant is so quaint. the mismatched furniture and jazz just go together!niceand calming. the girls who served the cheesecake were veryniceas well! overall a great experience.

the place is empty but every table is covered in dirty dishes and food. the two workers were playfully arguing who had to clear tables, that was 20 minutes ago and no one has made a move yet. the pretty waitress took two selfies though so that's something. cosy place andniceneighbourhood... unfortunately the workers don't seem to care

i've wanted to like this place for a while, and kept coming back hoping i would be right -- and i was. totally love it, i just have just been catching them on "bad days" before.

supernicelooking place, really worthwhile selection, but kind of slow staff. unfriendly, and a bit messy. for a corner coffee shop, i'd hope they'd be more neighbourly.

i'll go back and keep hoping.

neighborhood cafe.. for a neighborhood cafe, d'lish lacks almost all sense of neighborhood. the staff does alright, and the menu is a pretty sound collection that should meet most tastes. it would be a great place to walk to and meet friends, have a snack, and visit, if it was in any way friendly.

as i said, the staff does alright, but isn't exceptional. the management seems to lack care for customer service and doesn't inspire it. the setting is cool, but not welcoming, and the dirty washroom with no baby changing table seems to specifically ward off neighboring families.

seeing the menu, desert, and beer selection when the spot opened, i had great hope, and thought i'd frequent this cafe only a few blocks from my house, but found it's charm wasn't able to endure past my first couple visits.

again though, it is cool looking, and the menu's alright, so do go once or twice, but they probably won't keep you coming back.

huevos. you can always expect their delicious maple bacon cooked to caramelization instead of crispy, with sweet red and yellow sweet pepper, some black bean, fluffy eggs and melted cheese. the tortilla is nicely grilled. on the side they serve up some sour cream with a sprinkling of fresh pico de gallo.

breakfast sandwich. the delicious eggs are remarkably fluffy, anicemild melted cheddar, delicious maple bacon not crisp but nicely caramelized, on their wonderful panini which always has the perfect crunch.

oatmeal. the beautiful consistency of this oatmeal is due to the mix of quinoa and hemp seeds. that pretty color is thanks to delicious blackberries, blueberries, and raspberries, their natural sweetness and flavour making this delightful. the dollop of sweet sour cream just takes this over the top to make thisniceand rich.

we discovered this hidden treasure while on a long walk one evening earlier this week. though we didn't stop in we vowed to come back soon, and we're delighted we did.

a cool, rainy saturday gave us the opportunity to try the soups and sandwiches after another long walk. the jambalaya soup was hearty, with lots of vegetables, lightly spiced with small tender shrimp in a well balanced tomato base. the asparagus and parsnip soup in a light cream base was perfectly accented by fresh dill. we had the small bowls to accompany our sandwiches, and the portion size was very generous (we wonder how big a regular bowl of soup would be!)

we shared two outstanding grilled panini sandwiches. the "roast beast" was tender and flavourful and the cheese and onions were delicious complements to the beef. the chipotle turkey club was also delightful, highlighted by a delicious maple bacon cooked to caramalized perfection. the panini bread is outstanding.

we also enjoyed our cappuccino and americano - rich, full bodied and with a hint of chocolate notes in the cappuccino. the foam tends to be medium bodied, it won't hold the sugar on top, but it does stay till your last sip.

the vibe is comfortable, homey and authentic. service is relaxed, friendly, timely and unrushed. and they play great background music!

we will return soon, and often.
