sweet-stuff paradise. i'm normally someone who can resist cakes, pies, doughnuts, and all things bready--except when i visit gerard's bakery. everything in theplaceis in the you-must-try-it-once-in-your-life category. the sights and smells in this bakery can take your breath away, and if you think you can resist buying a full-sized sweet something, there is likely a miniature version that will coax itself right into your hands. the brioche is buttery and wonderful, and the fruit tarts are outstanding.
