went in for a dinner night to a nearby restaurant the desi tarq. it serves the best pakistani dishes....we ordered chiken karahi and mutton chops along with the traditional rottis (tandoori rotti and roghni naan). both the dishes were finger licking good and in good quantity and pocket friendly too.. they also did add a complimentary kheer.. which tasted superb.. they have got both indoor and outdoor dining facilities (aprox 20 seating) and a friendlystaffalso good parking area. if you are looking forward to traditional pakistani food.... desi tarqa serves the best..

its a only known pakistani restaurant in uaq where you can enjoy authentic food with family. the overall ambiance is good andstaffis very friendly and clean.we ordered chicken karhai and daal makhni, first and foremost the portion size was pretty good and secondly its a value for money. we were two and could not finish everything so we packed the remaining food. try their different rotis that includes, naan and roghni, must say one of the best rotis in town. they also offer biryani and other tantalizing desi stuffs(chaat, dahi baray and samosas) which we will surely try next time soon.overall:ambiance - 9/10food - 9/10
staff - 10/10
cleanliness - 10/10be ready desi tarqa, we will visit you soon.

a small joint tucked in a peaceful corner of uaq. the place is small but no congested with a seating capacity of around 20 ppl approx.  there is noting fancy about the place , the decor is reasonable, seating comfortable and the food is good. thestaffis really friendly, they know about the items on menu and clearly ask you about the spice level of those dishes that are freshly made and can be customized. the owners take special interest in your feedback for improvements where required.

chicken karrahi : was the best i had in uae so far, it wasnt the re regular karrahi that you get everywhere with few pieces of chicken buried under loads of tomatoes / tomato paste or tomato puree. it was proper karrahi perfectly spiced. (i asked for a little extra masala in karrahi as i dont like it dry unless its lamb karrahi )

mutton karrahi: again similar to chicken karrahi it was not the regular stuff, the meat was really tender , not overdone at all perfectly spiced garnished with ginger and green chilies , a perfect treat.

haleem : i guess it was chicken haleem and it was reasonable,  served with all the condiments that are haleem essential. the best haleem in uae is served at al saad restaurant ras al khaimah and nothing can beat that for sure.

chicken biryani : now biryani is such a debatable item with so many versions that its an endless discussion. supporters of each version claim their ones to be best. so i wont go into that spicy non spicy aalu or no aalu debate. their biryani reminded me of the achari biiryani of lahore. it was not as non spicy as typical lahori biryani (which i love by the way) and it wasnt extra ordinarily spiced chatpati karachi style biryani (which again i am in love with) . the rice were perfectly spiced, perfectly cooked long grain with achari twist of degi biryani.

masar chaawal:  served with white rice , a treat that one cannot ignore. the rice were steamed to perfection and masar were divine.

naans / bread: i have tried their roghni and butter naan plus the saadi roti. the naans are crisp from outside soft from inside, perfectly buttered / oiled and thin. rotis are served piping hot.

overall a place that can compel you to  visit them again:
