after reading mixed reviews thought to take a risk just because of name but there is nothing punjabi other than the name.
if you are looking for authentic punjabifoodthen this is not the place
we ordered for sarson ka saag and chef offered best authentic punjabi dish as paneer kadhai.
generally they do not serve white butter / makkhan with sarson and makke ki roti which is very surprising.
ambience is fair butfoodtaste not punjabi.
i won’t prefer to visit this place again

i heard alot about this place specially for lassi .....
then i met that place & tasted special lassi that was amazing ...otherfoodis average...

even after a mixed bag of reviews i still opted to visit this place just for the love of punjabifoodand ambience. the place is made good... but we go to restaurant to have good food. not to see how well its made. it is said... try the most basicfoodpreparation at any hotel and you can judge the rest. so for a punjabi restaurant the most basic what i feel is a paratha. well i followed the same and ordered a paneer paratha with masala butter milk.

extremely sorry to say but the except the size of the paratha nothing was good. no taste, no proper stuffing, no spices, no aroma and the biggest disappointing surprise was that the paratha had no ghee no butter. how can a paratha be without ghee or butter ?

its time for the butter milk.... this was somewhat good and served in a tall punjabi glass. the taste was also quite good... but although it was a cold afternoon the buttermilk was higher in temperature than the outside temperature. after i asked for some ice cubes it was a little enjoyable but on the other side i had to compromise on the dilution of the preparation.

we are cultured and raised to respectfoodmore than any product in this world. so without complaining we finished the servings

on and all a super disappointment...

so bad hotal quantity is so less than money only give 0 star andfoodnot pacaket is well so avoid these hotal and search other hotal for well

worst chicken biryani ever had....don't ever visit this place....no taste , no freshness infoodand chicken was also not fresh. they fool people in parcel i just got 3 small full spoon of biryani in small bowl. worst experience and waste of time and money

awesomefood. we tried murg punjabi masala . it was very delicious .biryani also good. reasonable price. must visit if you staying near railway station. only rs.10  auto fare from railway station.

one of the pocket friendly restaurants in usmanpura it consist of two parts one is mess and other is restaurant .foodis very good and taste is also quite good

this place is in the lane behind the gurudwara in usmanpura. i visited this place in jan 2015 . this is a decent joint if you are looking for good non veg punjabi fare. the hotel has 2 sections . one section is for the mess and other is a restaurant where they serve a la carte. i visited the restaurant.

the ambience is decent however they are short on wait staff, having said that there were not many customers in the restaurant. the service was prompt and nothing to complain about. thefoodis really reasonably priced and the taste is really good, the only complain i had is thefoodis a bit oily but then you can argue its punjabi food. the portions of thefoodare good for 2 people. we had 2 masala pappad, one gravy, one starter , 1 paraths and 3 rotis and our bill came upto about 350 rs

i would recommend this place to people who want to have decent punjabifoodand are on a budget.

if you in hurry and want to havefoodat the centre of the city its a small decent hotel .. good place to have food.. silent..no rush..
well maintained ..try paneer peshawari and murg mussalam ..
