denny’s has been one of our family’s go-to restaurants in our weekday dinner as it is just a few blocks away from work and so far, i’ve been checking each item off of their menu.

the beef tapa had the right mix of salty with a little bit of sour, the pork belly was soft with its fat that is so flavorful, and the crispy bangus belly marinated just enough to enhance the flavor of the fish partnered with their special vinegar was my idea of the perfect breakfast, all balanced with the freshness of their salsa. they also have their version of a dry but flavorful adobo. my tummy and my heart is filled.

as a caldereta lover, i tried their saucy beef caldereta. it’s not my typical kind which is a thick stew mainly with tomato sauce, liver spread, and some source of heat. the sauce of their caldereta was flowy, had some spice, and only little tomato taste. nevertheless, it was a unique experience.

they also wings and we tried their italian parmesan and buffalo wings. the italian parmesan made me kinda sneezy because of its powdery spiced batter while the buffalo wings had just a little bit of heat and tanginess.

other items that we already checked off their menu are their chicken apple cranberry salad, lumberjack slam, chocolate lava cake, denny's share four all, salisbury steak skillet, eggplant extravaganza, pork adobo, goodmorning omelette, beef nachos, and grilled pork chop and egg.

we ordered the pork belly with eggs , but asked the eggs to be served on the side due to allergies, and it tasted good. the marinate is spot on and tastes exactly like a flavorful filipino barbecue. the salsa it came with was lacking but it’s quite understandable since it’s not really supposed to be part of the dish. the serving portion is big, really worth the money.

we also got the saucy beef caldereta, it was great! the meat was so tender that chewing was optional! haha. the sauce was rich and thick, just how it should be. however, i prefer mine with a bit of a kick and spice. this was served with veggies that tastedgoodtoo.

we also got their chicken and waffles, the chicken strips were legit chicken which was great! the waffles were the star of the show, it’s very crispy and dense! very yummy!

we got a hash brown on the side because that’s my favorite part of any diner-sequel places. it was crispy and salty, just the way i like it!

will totally come back for more!

been here several times, tried a lot of food in their menu, mostly comfort food, there was a time the pancake wasn’t cooked very well, i also find the food here to be really expensive coz there’s really nothing so special about the menu, so itsgoodto have your bff bistro card ready, its still nice to dine here though, the service is very good

i have always wanted to try denny's sooo much that when i finally did, i was disappointed? the food was masarap naman and i liked it but it didn't necessarily meet my expectations. i'm not sure if it was because i just expected way too much or maybe because i ordered off the not sogoodor not so popular part of the menu. buti na lang i had the oreo pancakes for dessert which partially redeemed the experience for me because i'm such a sweet tooth. finally, the service most definitely needs improvement, mostly because there were only two servers attending to about ten (?) dining parties at that moment. serving the food took a little too long and it was so hard to catch their attention when we needed something. for a newly opened franchise of a popular american food chain whose area can accommodate about 20 to 25 dining parties, they should really have larger manpower and a more cool-headed supervisor (unlike the one they have now) who doesn't scold the waiters because it only worsens the situation.

still willing to give it a second chance, though. it's denny's! who doesn't love the classic american diner chow?

one of my favorite restaurants in rob manila. i never fail to order their waffles and i’m obsessed with how light and fluffy they are. my new go-to order is their ham and cheese omelette. the serving’s really big and i think it’s alreadygoodfor two. a must-order for me is their nachos because they don’t scrimp with their toppings. spaghetti’sgoodtoo and so is their penne but the dish i can’t stop raving about would have to be their waffles - and nachos. if you can only order two things, go with those two. 😂
oreo milkshake was meh though. won’t order again. their wifi here is fast, they also have their own restroom. service is quick and efficient.

bright place withgoodambience, wifi and environment. service is also very friendly.

food that i've tried ranges from decent to good. food tends to be a bit dry, which mars otherwisegoodpancakes and waffles. the quesadillas, however, are excellent. coffee also is on the bitter side, even with cream, so its goodness depends on your preference.

bit pricy for the food quality, but the ambience makes up for it.

good for a relaxed, casual meal alone or with friends, but don't expect anything mind-blowing good.

food was excellent! the orange juice is freshly squeezed and i recommend you ask some syrup to sweeten it. i liked my all american slam but the toast was plain so i requested for some jam and butter to give it some taste. the ambiance is nice with lots of seats and they havegoodwifi connection.

servings are really big andgoodfor sharing. flavorful and there are a lot of offerings from waffles, pancakes to the american and filipino breakfast, for sure you would have a hard time choosing what to eat. however, i found the filipino breakfast - bangus belly to be overly oily. likewise, would have preferred fresh juices rather than concentrate. waffles are rather crunchy (but cooked just right) but the pancakes are rather thick for my taste thus, the blueberry taste is lost on them.

it was my first time in denny's and i am so in love with their platter!! just imagine having quesadillas, fries, fillets and pancake puppies all in one plate! heaven.

we went there last august 19, 2017 for my brother's birthday. the place is a little crowded when we got there since it was lunch time but we got agoodspot so we're fine. personally, i don't ask what are the bestsellers of a restaurant and would normally just go with gut feeling and order what i think is good. glad i did when i saw their platter. to die fooooor! i love everything in it! their pancake puppies are amazing! and in all fairness, their main courses are equallygood(though may times na nakakaumay) and they have large servings which is nice since their prices are not really that affordable.

staffs are really nice and very accomodating. would definitely go back here 😉

we wanted to try denny's for the first time, and we remembered there was on in the nuvali area. so we decided to have dinner there.

the place was very well lit, no weird smells or anything. sometimes restaurant menus and tables stink(kind of like a rag that hasn't been rinsed in a while), but denny's didn't have that. the staff were courteous and led us to a booth. 4.5 stars for the service, minus .5 because i asked the waiter if the wrap was spicy and he said no. it was. 😂

four sampler - i forgot the name of this dish, it's not in the menu or online because i think it's new. it's an appetizer plate with their fries, pancake puppies, chicken quesadillas and chicken fingers. fries were good, nothing special, not super hot tho. quesadilla's were also nothing special. the slices of green peppers were a bit too over-powering for me. the chicken fingers were heavy, but good. as for extra bbq bourbon sauce for these, the red sauce they put in the plate didn't really go well together with the breeding. now the pancake puppies were delicious. i literally fell in love with them. they've got a crispy, brown exterior, and a light, sweet, semi-moist center. these were the star of the show. they could have added a bit more caramel dipping sauce, but it was okay.

oreo milkshake - typical milkshake made of ice cream and bits of oreos. was just a too thick, maybe not blended enough because it wasn't going up the straw anymore. yummy and big chunks of cookies.

lumberjack slam - ham, 2 bacon strips, 2 sausages, toast, hash browns, 2 eggs and 2 pancakes. everything was good, i just found it weird that one bacon strip was super crispy and the other was soggy. the hash brown was disappointing. it looked big because it was spread out, but it was really thin. it was delicious though, crispy and well-seasoned. the pancakes however, were craaaazy good! see how thick and fluffy they are? they taste asgoodas they look, and we like them way more that ihop's pancakes. they're not dense, or cakey.

skillet wrap - kind of like a burrito, but more in the nacho-tasting zone. it was a bit too spicy for me. again i asked kuya waiter if it was and he said no. so it kind of surprised me. the egg was agoodtouch and made it taste more like a breakfast burrito. the pepper jack cheese sauce, which i thought would be the spicy part, surprisingly wasn't even that spicy. it's agooddish, but after a couple of bites, you sort of get tired of the repetitive taste. definitely too heavy for me. i'd suggest this if you're super hungry and you like spicy food.

overall, it was an incredibly filling meal. my pants were too tight by the time i stood up and i fell asleep in the car ride going home. a bit on the expensive side, as are ihop and friday's. it's your typical american breakfast place, expect to walk out full. try it if you're tired of ihop and you want to eat somewhere new.
