de`ma

was craving a good lambbunnyand was in gateway, so we decided to go to de`ma.. order two 1/4 lamb bunnies, service was okay but nothing to brag about, the bunnies were really good and was really surprised , but was a bit disappointed when the bill arrived, i do think it was a bit over priced for a 1/4 lamb bunny...

while visiting one of the mobile phone stores, i asked for a recommendation for a goodbunnychow. i was told that de’ma is the place to go. when we got there, i noticed that the decor is a bit “aged” and shown to a table outside. ordered mince samoosas for starters. very tasty i may add. for mains, we shared a 1/2 muttonbunnychow. it was huge! more than enough for two people. we asked for sambals only to find out when we got our bill, that it is extra! the waitress also didn’t tell us about the special (bunny + dessert - at a good price). besides the negatives, the food was good.

well the lady was absolutely fantastic and made wonderful recommendations, my lambbunnychow was spicy, medium and so tasty i could have licked my plate if no one was watching, the waitress also sold me one of each of the sweet meats 😘

had my firstbunnychow ever. had a lamb 1/4bunnychow. food was good, lamb was very tender and bread very fresh. service was good.would recommend it if i had something to compare it to. :)

food is good but service can be extremely slow. once waited over an hour for abunnychow! the manager was unsympathetic with a "take it or leave it" attitude. could be a great place if they were focused on the customer experience and their service levels.

came back because the curries are awesome. spit been revamped, furniture been sorted. the curry was out of this world!

told the waitress to bring the best lamb curry. a hot lamb khadai arrived with sambals - and was fantastic. worth visiting again.

returned after a year. disappointed. asked for a "hot" curry - got at best a mild impersonation of a lamb curry - tasty - but not what i ordered - seems like the issue of you don't fit the profile - so we give you a "mild"! drinks had to be chased and asked for - rating downgrade from me.

and spot still looks tatty - see previous review. food and service following general decline.

small spot looking a bit tatty. they could use some new furniture and spruce it up a bit. but the "lambbunnychow" was superb! soft, tender and flavourful. good portion in a half-loaf of bread - the menu says medium - but this is durban! huge chillies float in the rich gravy - full of spices - really yummy. nice atmosphere, relaxed music - waiters could be a bit more alert and pre-emptive of drinks etc. well priced, good food - but could be great!

i had a lambbunnywhich was absolutely divine! great flavors. also tired the paneer tikka which was tasty.bunnychows just somehow taste better in durban!
