was craving a good lamb bunny and was in gateway, so we decided to go to de`ma.. order two 1/4 lamb bunnies, service was okay but nothing to brag about, the bunnies were really good and was really surprised , but was a bit disappointed when the bill arrived, i do think it was a bit over priced for a 1/4 lamb bunny...

incredibly delicious food, but the service delivery was extremely slow. waited an hour or so for two naan breads. the waiter was extremely apologetic, but that did not help the long wait. the pricing seemed to be appropriate.

good cosy restaurant. there was a lot of crowd so service was a little slow. we ordered mutton vindaloo and chicken tikka masala which were both tasty. good quantity. but the savory chicken rice we got for our kid was really good. had a wonderful dinner

while visiting one of the mobile phone stores, i asked for a recommendation for a good bunny chow. i was told that de’ma is the place to go. when we got there, i noticed that the decor is a bit “aged” and shown to a table outside. ordered mince samoosas for starters. very tasty i may add. for mains, we shared a 1/2 mutton bunny chow. it was huge! more than enough for two people. we asked for sambals only to find out when we got our bill, that it is extra! the waitress also didn’t tell us about the special (bunny + dessert - at a good price). besides the negatives, the food was good.

had the 1/4 mutton bunny. bread was really good and a healthy portion of meat including potatoes and meat on the bone. a generous serving of curry which soaked well into the bread. ordered medium which had a slight kick. the flavor was just a bit flat > could have just been one of those days. maybe next time it will be better. to be fair it was my first time and i only tasted one dish...

i order from here quiet often. my last order was the vindaloo, had good flavours. good portion of meat for the price. service was good aswell. but i don't like the vibe and takky music they play.

the butter chicken with naan is a must try when visiting this authentic indian cuisine. i recommend this restaurant to anyone who wishes to try a good tasting curry besides my mom's kitchen ;)

the first time i visited this place, i was actually very impressed with their food especially the lamb bunny... it was delicious... but on my second visit , i notice the quality of the food has dropped... the curry is actually almost cold when brought to the table. disappointing ...

service slow and waited long to get the waiters attention but improved as time went on. the food was bland and atmosphere very dull for a friday night.

stopped to have lunch here after shopping was done a few weeks back. i had no idea that this restaurant was on the other end of gateway. i ordered the butter chicken, and a side order of the garlic naan bread. i was abit sceptical as i cook butter chicken at home sometimes. but the dish was cooked to perfection and the chicken was not overcooked. the garlic bread was absolutely yum. my mum ordered a chicken roti roll to take away which was alright. abit on the pricey side and the restaurant slightly cramped, but the food waz delicious. i also enjoyed the mint and lemon virgin mojito, which was refreshing. just need to work on the service.

well the lady was absolutely fantastic and made wonderful recommendations, my lamb bunny chow was spicy, medium and so tasty i could have licked my plate if no one was watching, the waitress also sold me one of each of the sweet meats 😘

had my first bunny chow ever. had a lamb 1/4 bunny chow. food was good, lamb was very tender and bread very fresh. service was good.would recommend it if i had something to compare it to. :)

food is good but service can be extremely slow. once waited over an hour for a bunny chow! the manager was unsympathetic with a "take it or leave it" attitude. could be a great place if they were focused on the customer experience and their service levels.

food is average & expecting a lot better especially being an indian restaurant in durban located in the largest mall in southern hemisphere! waiters are seemingly oblivious to patrons needs.

we were on holiday in umhlanga looking for an indian restaurant. perfect place for a good old traditional indian meal. we had their butter chicken curry and their lamb curry, both meals were absolutely tasty. will definitely come around again👌🏽
