dairy lane cafe

tasty. i popped in for breakfast yesterday as i was in the neighborhood and remembered seeing the place. i had the stuffed french toast (savory). i was served hot and fresh. very tasty. it had the promised "warmed quebec maple syrup" which was definitely real maple. it also had a drizzle of holandaise over one corner all artistic-like. the holandaise was great. i'm sure it was house-made - it was amazing. i love breakfast. i really love great breakfast, and this was all of that.

nothing special. it was my first and last time. i used urbanspoon to recommend a good burger in calgary and this place was one of the tops. it was crowded, my burger was burnt and tasteless. the coffee was at least good. i most likely won't go back.

great breakfest. this is a pretty good breakfast place, the food and service was great. everything was fresh and properly portioned. the only thing that is not so great is the wait, you have to get there early to get in before the line.

my wife have gone here many times for breakfast and no matter what we've tried we are always super happy. from their breakfasts, to their hamburgers nothing is a miss.
the only thing i don't like is we use to live with in blocks and now have to drive almost 20 mins.
never change anything...well maybe a bigger space but i like it small and intimate plus you get to see what others are eating! helps you try other things on their menu!!

this place has to be one of my all time favorite restaurants in calgary. been here multiple times with my husband and close friends. but no matter who i am here with,the food and service is always exceptional.

tofu scram. i had high hopes for their tofu scram, being new to calgary and new to being so limited in vegetarian restaurant choices. the scram just had way too much going on. i do love coconut curry, and sun dried tomatoes, but not together. not sure if i'll try this place again.

ahhh.. dairy lane. i’ve been going there for years, since its in the ‘hood. on this particularly chilly night, we decided to make the short drive. all three of us were in the mood for the classic dairy lane burger, with different toppings and sides. i had mine straight up, with the yam fries. my dining companions choose the bacon, cheese and fries. the burger was juicy and the fries were crisp and well seasoned. all of us ordered our own chocolate shake. perhaps we should have shared. be forewarned: you get the shake and half the metal container. i would say, almost a liter of shake. why chocolate shakes on a chilly night? not sure, but according to our server, it’s not uncommon. the portions are huge and they support local producers. ‘nuff said. if you don’t like waiting in lineups, go on a chilly, snowy weeknight. one of the best diners in town. dairy lane burger with yam fries and spicy mayo

overall great!. the food and service here are both fantastic. they really work as a team so no one gets ignored, despite being full almost all the time. the coffee is great, as are the milkshakes. gluten free options are yummy, the salmon eggs benny is one of my favorite, along with the chicken burger. the seasonal soups are always unique, and i always start with it (cauliflower puree with truffle oil right now!). i don't have a single complaint about it- it's on the pricey side but everything is local and fresh, so i'm willing to pay more because it actually does taste better! well worth the wait!

dried hashbrowns more like plate fillers. i wish dairy lane would update their hashbrowns or taters or whatever they call them anytime i go for breakfast there it seems the hashbrowns are fried or cooked to death all you get are these crispy plate fillers, it seems they are not worth eating looks like they just keep deep frying them and putting them on the plate so you think your getting more food.hashbrowns could use an update. ketchup is brought out in a small steel dish as big as a tiny lid. come on people put a bottle of ketchup on the tables.

a little overpriced. my husband and i decided to go to the dairy lane cafe for sunday breakfast one morning, the place is very small so when your sitting at a table your neighbors can hear your conversation.there was a 30 min wait for a table as the place was packed and they have a small waiting area off of the restarant where you sit sipping your coffee while you wait for your name to be called,my husband ordered the special of that day which was the omlet and i had the eggs benedict with salmon and pickled asparagus spears, my husbands special which was the omlet came with hash browns and toast however my eggs beny only came with hash browns at $15 a plate i think thats a bit over priced for a breakfast place i think. i dont care if its organic i still think thats a rip off.

love it!. my absolute favourite breakfast restaurant in town. dairy lane uses healthy local produce and creates deliciousness. love the french toasts and milk shakes. it's always busy and you have to wait, but it is so worth it!

so yummy! had the beef burger and fries and i must say, this is one of the best burgers i've had anywhere in the city! worth every penny, and i'll definitely be going back.

...i find myself wandering in the northwest part of the city at a place called dairy lane cafe which is a small but popular cafe! we got seated about 20 minutes after arrival, and that was pretty much as fast as it can get for this location! once we got seated, i needed a hot chocolate … as nice as the outside looked it was still quite breezy! now that i’ve warmed up some, it will take me another 20 minutes to figure out what i want to eat! this particular day, i figured i’d try some stuffed french toast which is an unusual item for me to pick from if you know me at all! i even picked it with the sweet toppings of cinnamon cream cheese

i could not say better things. just go eat breakfast here.

lovely place, wasn't too crowded. wonderful variety on a short menu. service was decent and food was very tasty.

always great!. i have been to dairy lane many, many times, and i've never left disappointed. it is always busy, and there is always a lineup, but the hostess will always offer you a coffee while you wait. the service is friendly, and prompt, and the food is fantastic! bravo. a lot of places tend to fall off the rails when it's busy, but dl just seems to keep movin' along.
the dairy lane burger... and the yam fries. the vegan tofu scramble. all magical.
