awesome experience. we were actually going to eat at the thai restaurant in the same shopping center but decided against it because of the reviews. we started to leave the parking lot and saw cutlass grille. it was fate!! we love jamaicanfoodand i am puertorican. that being said it was the best i've ever had. i had the curry chicken. my husband had the jerk chicken and we shared flan. everything was perfection. when we first entered we saw the owner interacting with the customers. the ambiance is nice. music was being played live and overall a wonderful experience. not to mention the service was great! also the hardest to please in our party was raving about it!! (our 10 year oldfoodcritic) we will definitely be back!

absolutely amazing!! went out last night w a friend for a mom's night out and we were lucky enough to discover cutlass grille. our waitress was friendly, helpful and attentive and thefoodwas amazing! the pulled pork was perfectly smokey, the mac and cheese was perfection, and the sweet potato fries were very good. the prices were also incredibly reasonable. i can not wait to go back!

3rd time is the charm!. a couple of weekends ago we went to listen to the steel drum competition at the oceanfront and the cutlass grille was there hawking their culinary charm. my better half was not particularly impressed with their 3 wings i previously delivered home (see previous 4/28/11 post, please), so was somewhat of a hard sell to get him to try. but now he is hooked!!!! he ordered the chicken skewer dinner & i had the rib dinner. thefoodwas well prepared & delicious with just the right amount of spice & smoke, the meats were tender & juicy & the sides were perfect. i think this guy is in his element when working a crowd! we will re-visit & encourage others to try as well.

ate there only once.... ...but it was tasty & tender. i love anything smoked & this guy does it well. stopped in 1 other time to pick up some wings to go...disappointed that he only had 3. bought those 3 & they disappeared quickly! will update review after trying him again.

the server was fantastic and thefoodwas amazing. great coconut shrimp, beef brisket, mac n cheese, cabbage, pulled pork, peas and rice and baked beans!

this place is awesome! theirfoodleaves you craving it. the oxtails are always so tender and tasty. their sides are just as great. i always recommend cutlass grille when you have that craving for caribbeanfoodor just a great meal!

had a quick dinner bite here. was lured in by the smell outside.foodis great and drinks are cold. their spicy sauce is just that! awesome little place.

this place is awesome. jerk chicken and the ribs are amazing. goodfoodgood prices. i love the greens and plantains. one of my husband favorite places.

great food!  always wonderful service.  at times a little loud but when thefoodis this good, you have to expect a lot of people to know about it.

love, love, love thefoodhere. this was my first time visiting and i will be a repeat customer!!! i had the fried fish and shrimp, mac n cheese and collards. it was awesome!!!!!

perfect every time.. we have never had a poor experience! the service is incredible and thefoodis some of the best i've ever tasted. it's consistantly amazing and diverse! not only that but the owner always makes it a point to walk around the restaurant and interact with his customers... (he also cooks!) we'll be loyal cutlass fans forever.

i absolutely love this place! love doesn't even really describe it! thefoodis to die for and the service is always friendly! this place can be very busy at times, so prepare to wait on the weekends!

cutlass grille needs to be on your short list.. my favorite new restaurant! hands down! i stopped in here with a my buddy fred a couple of weeks ago. being my first visit i had no idea they had recently moved into the location, etc... the owner sean came out and greeted fred and then introduced himself to me and we were quickly seated at a table. the restaurant is brand new impeccably clean. when you enter you see a bar on your left and then booths, with the open kitchen in the back. then there's another more general dining area on the other side, which is where we were seated.

i decided to fully immerse myself in the culture of the meal and when it came time for drinks to be ordered i selected a jamaican kola champagne which tasted like a creme soda. it was very good on a hot summer evening. after going over the menu i had a tough time narrowing things down. there are so many good looking choices here. i ended up selecting the curry shrimp with rice and told them to make it hot.

i have to say that i was not prepared for the steak platter of wonderful that appeared before me a short time later. there were i think 7 large butterflied shrimp on a bed of rice and vegetables. folks this isfoodperfection and sean is on top of his game. i ate every last bit of it and frankly being the glutton that i am could have had some more. you have to try this.

when we were finishing things up i inquired about a lunch menu and the said that what they normally do for a lunch special is take one of there dinner entree's and make a lunch sized portion and price. that works for me. i haven't been back for lunch yet... but i will be... soon.... very soon...

soooo goooood!!!. fabulous! it isn't often that i leave a restaurant looking forward to my next meal there. cutlass grille is an excellent addition to our neighborhood, and we hope to have them there for many, many more years. i have been looking for a good place to get caribbeanfoodand my searching is over. happy, happy, happy!!

amazing!!!. i've been driving past this place for the past year but have never found the time to stop by. best homestylefoodi've had in the entire hampton roads! my one year old and four year old devoured the curry chicken and jerked chicken with the 4 year old eating an entire adult serving. delicious side orders including my personal favorite, sweet potato fries. delicious full flavored meats. i am sad to say but their curry chicken was better than curry of my ancestors (india). why even waste your time barbecuing? it's never going to be as good as cutlass. staff are very nice. lots of places get annoyed when you have little, loud kids. they really enjoyed mine.
