the food is ok, but they let me go the entire meal, trying to get service to come back to my table. i couldn't even order a drink. there is no excuse for letting me leave thirsty and upset. i will never come back.

the shop is located at quite a distance from my place. about 5 minutes drive

the shop is pretty big and is too crowded on the weekends. they have varieties of indian and pakistani foods which are quite easy to pick.

vegetarian thali was the one we ordered. served with boiled rice, sambar, curd, potato fry, naan and channa masalas, it tasted really well as if we're back in india having a meal in a street food shop. and it's chicken thali, the chicken gravy was fantastic with coconut milk added more. the taste was really mesmerizing us.

the sambar was excellent with perfect proportion of spice and salt. the naan was the best. it was more kind of kulcha though. it was huge, soft and tasty.

even though we waited for about 25 minutes, the food and its taste compensated it. really worth the money.
hope to come back very soon.

too good. the quality and quantity of food they offer for such low price is kind of fantastic. this is the only indian restaurant in arizona where i ate stomach full and was charged under $10. even though the prices are low, the taste/quality of the food is better than many other indian restaurants. in addition to the good food and ambience, the service is excellent too. they are pleasant, courteous and prompt. this is my new favorite.

this a little "dive" restaurant that is incredible. i would eat here once a week if i could. they have authentic food that is wonderful. friendly staff. the only thing that you need to know is it is a bring your own booz wich is great because it keeps the meal cost down. it would be worth it if it was expensive, but it's not!

i recently visited the #1 voted best
indian cuisine restaurant in az, called curry corner. located in tempe on
apache boulevard and dorsey lane, it was recommended to me by a friend of mine
from boston that visited phoenix with my family before we moved. he described
it as "cozy dining with a professional take on indian cuisine". as i
can now agree with him, the restaurant itself held to the expectation, the
interior was comfortable and easy going, i didn't feel as if i was supposed to
be in formal wear, but the manner in which the food was presented set higher
standards than anticipated.

i had visited the restaurant with one
of my close friends. i had ordered the "chapli kebab" (spicy ground
beef patty) which had an amazing blend of seasonings. the flavor itself had so
many combinations but still held a spicy standard, great dish. my friend had
ordered "goat karahi" (garlicky tender goat served on a bed of
tomatoes and onions). i personally am not a fan of the strong onion flavor but
my friend had enjoyed the dish so immensely that i think her plate was clean
enough to put right back with the clean dishes!

our waitress was indian, i asked and
she explained she actually lived there for about 30 years before moving here to
work with the family in the restaurant. she held a comforting patience as i
asked about the majority of the menu and was extremely appreciative and nice
for the duration of the visit. the restaurant was full from beginning to end
and i can see why, excellent food with an outstanding history and interesting
customs. i will definitely be going back.

the entree, the name of which escapes me, was unlike anything i've ever tasted.  where's it's been all my life is a mystery.  the cumin, cilantro, garlic and other flavors all melded into a wonderful, rich, enticing sauce for the peas, carrots, and cauliflower.  the naan was other-worldly as well.my only criticism is that the gentleman host spent almost the entire time i was there on his cell phone.  he still managed to seat and greet, deliver food, work the register, but is was annoying as hell that he did it all while talking on the phone.  i was going to ask for another order of curry, to take with me, but i couldn't get his attention away from the phone.  end the call and do your job!

worth the wait. we visited this little gem while on vacation. very busy, service was understandably slow but the food was worth waiting for. a young mexican gal was our server, service with a smile and a great sense of humor. this location was a fair hike from our hotel but we'd definitely go again.

hands down best. i have been cooking for 20 years and had food from all over the world. indian/middle eastern is a personal favorite of mine and this place blew my mind. their prices are great, the naan is fantastic and their tikka masala is the best i have ever had.

the place is small, provides a pretty intimate atmosphere, the food is amazing. i have found "my" indian place, no need to keep looking.

off the hook, good eats!. i had the tandoori mixed grill and my bride had the tandoori chicken wings. both were generous portions and well prepared.

what a web of flavor! cilantro, garlic, did i taste mint?, cinnamon, & a little heat to wakeup your lazier taste buds - momma's "home cookin' good" at its best! the garlic naan bread added the perfect touch.
be warned, it's not a big place and when we walked in at 7:30 pm (on a wed nite, no less!!), there wasn't an empty table in the house and it wasn't just college kids looking for cheap eats - plenty of 30 & 40 something or more, couples.
an informative review from early feb 2013 can be found here: http://www.phxrailfood.com/2012/02/curry-corner.html
it will help inform you about this fascinating cuisine.
makes me wish i lived in phoenix!
you need to come here!

food was ok, but nothing to rave about and nothing i'd crave. samosas were served with chutneys that had been extremely watered down. nowhere close to the chutney i've had at any indian/pakistani restaurant anywhere. when we asked the waitress if they had citrus gold peak tea, she told us yes and brought us regular iced tea. when we went to exchange it, we discovered they don't sell the citrus version. we would have stuck with water had we known that. we also had to flag down someone to get napkins as the owner and wait staff were more absorbed with the feature playing on tv showing their restaurant. the food was average. i'll check out other indian
