it’s modern, sophisticated, and has great food options for late night eating, bar bites, etc. how can you say “no” to a curewich?? it’s packed with a perfectly cooked, pan-fried egg, smokey bacon, and melty cheese. one bite into this and it oozes with delicious, egg yolk that could be sopped up as a sauce to combine all the flavors in this simple-but-not sandwich. this is late night dining with flare!

always enjoyable. this spot is ideal for a savory drink and small plate outing. the patio is well lit and laid out, the music and lighting inside are at enjoyable levels, and the drinks are completely worth the extra couple minutes/dollars compared to those served in haste with less body and flavor at other local establishments. the employees are friendly and knowledgeable on the menu and have made suggestions if one is unsure on what to get that turned out to be spot on. the changing menu keeps you on your toes and ensures you won't go for your 'usual' all year round.

great new professionals bar. dropped into cure to grab a quick bite to eat since we were in the neighborhood and their menu on urbanspoon looked unique. must to my surprise the menu online and the menu we were given didn't match. apparently they change their menu periodically and the dish i really wanted to try (roast sweet potato soup) was no longer available. after mulling over the drink and food menus we decided on a short rib "debris" sandwich and some bar snacks (bacon wrapped dates stuffed with goat cheese and moroccan spiced nuts). the food was alright but the portions are really small for the price and the service was almost nonexistent. the cocktail menu is far from the everyday same old same old but is geared to a very particular audience that i guess i am not in because nothing peaked my interest.

great food; service needs improvement. we were seated close to 20 minutes after our reservation time. took another 20 mins ot get a bottle of wine. given that our reservation was at 7 but did not get food for some time, we were one of the last ones out of the restaurant. we were exited with an abrupt lock of the door and a shutting off the lights in front of the restaurant. so all in all food was great. service was downright rude.

nice but.... really like the interior although it feels kind of cold. i go to a lot of nice places but i'm never a fan of silly dress codes for the sake of having one. i understand they are probably trying to keep the baseball hats out but... uggh. drinks are good but it's something you have one of. not so much a place to get food though. the area is still dangerous especially leaving at night. overall i think it's nice but it's more of a place for cocktails than anything. crowd is a bit young for me (college aged).

one of the best bars in new orleans. my wife & i stop in whenever we're in town. caitlin is probably the most fun server we've encountered. food is good, drinks are great, and atmosphere is incredible.

i'm amused at the reviewers who are disappointed that cure is not a dive bar - as though all places in new orleans must cater to the lowest common denominator. leave the shorts, flip flops and the stained 'i'm with stoopid' tee shirt at home. cure is a moderately upscale place with good drinks. the waitress was a little slow but overall it was a great experience. smoke-free and music that doesnt drown out the conversation. nice courtyard and a good crowd.

great. the drinks are mixed with patience and a desire for perfection, and it shows. the sazerac, for example, the official drink of new orleans, was spot-on perfect, and i say that without hyperbole. it's precisely as a sazerac should taste. the atmosphere is very comfortable, with dim lighting, but not so dim that you can't see. there's great music playing at a comfortable volume. the decor is warm yet refined. it was also uncrowded.

a must eat! :). such a cool spot for a date. really glad we went here. service was really good an friendly. loved the atmosphere for a place to just sit and talk and enjoy some wine and a bite to eat with someone.
the duck pate was really good and we also had the short rib sandwich. a must get. very very very good.
finished off with the chocolate cake.

to start service is to say nevertheless poor. overpriced and food quality below expectations. you have to drive a tank to get there and good luck with parking.

pretentious. so pretentious. maybe it's just not my cup of tea (or should i say spritzed with a smoke flavor and lined with the essence of herbs cup of tea). if you want trendy, cure is your spot. it's in the 'up and coming' area of freret and brings in all the cool kids. i mean, the only artwork on the wall is an anatomical drawing of a cockroach. i just don't get it. i was uncomfortable the entire time and unwilling to pay the ridiculous prices for drinks. i made my boyfriend leave and take me to finn's. i guess i'm just not classy enough for cure.

i don't drink much but when i do i like to drink at cure. so this is where they keep the mixologists! sometimes a girl needs a well-crafted cocktail. homemade bitters, house-infused vodkas, fresh squeezed juices and exotic ingredients. the cocktails are an experience...not just a way to get drunk.

the food is well-crafted too and pairs perfectly with the drinks. the combination food and libations makes the crowd of 20-something happy hour attendants bearable.

i can't wait to return.

i find the primary interest in a place like this is watching and interacting with the bartenders, all of which were very friendly and helpful (even when they were clearly very busy).

it's a gorgeous mixology bar with incredible cocktails, mood lighting and a romantic courtyard. it's hard to go wrong there

if i wanted to live in new york i would live in new york. one reviewer commented it is like 95% of cocktail bars in other metropols. correct, that's why i stay away.
