cupbop korean bbq

my wife and i went to thefoodtruck roundup really excited to try cupbop. we had heard so many good things and had quite a few people recommend it. unfortunately, we walked away a little disappointed. nothing really bad happened- it just tasted ok. the flavors were ok, but nothing special.

cupbop is one of the bestfoodtrucks. you will find it solo around town or in a wagon circle at a school or community event. thefoodnever disappoints. make sure to top it off with mondos. the staff is great and treats you as a friend.

for the valley fair mall location
slightly entertaining, slightly spicy and more than slightly flavorful but delicious all the same.
cupbop is a nice diversion from the ordinary korean with dinner-in-a-cup.
first you choose your poison by choosing your base, rice, noodle or lettuce.
then you pick a flavorful protein: chicken, pork, beef, tofu and other toppings.
last comes the spice level, which they slather on lavishly.
choose wisely here my friends! make them stop if you must!
this particular part of the preparation determines whether or not you if you will enjoy or be paying for the mean rest of the evening, ( if you know what i mean).
once you have your cup in hand, feel free to sit down and enjoy the slightly loud and youthful environment while you dine.
most of the decor is on the ceiling, which is rather fun to look at, well at least inside the location at the valley fair mall, and it's kind of fun two enjoy your bowl of korean bbq while watching the fountains just outside the window or from the patio also.
i can see how this place could easily become a favorite for west valley residents or mall shoppers.

something you should check out. i definitely recommend that you should try it at least once.

you get what you pay for. thefoodis pretty decent if your in a hurry and just need to grab something quick to eat. i go here from time to time.

my son brought me to afoodtruck rally where there are dozens of choices, and he recommended this one. and he was right--it's really good. the spicy cup is great. but be prepared, you'll spend a lot for a small-ish serving size. i'd prefer "bowlbop" at the same price point.

great service & thefoodis fantastic. spice rating of a 6 is definitely my limit. but didn't make it unbearable (at least for me) so i could still taste the deliciousness of the food. plus when you're prideful and don't take a bag for your food, then proceed to spill yourfoodright in front of the restaurant as you try to ride off on your bike... they are super nice and replace the cup! moral of the review: eat at cupbop, be happy and always take a bag (:

cupbop is awesome! we love this truck, the awesome korean pop music they have blaring, and thefoodis awesome. love getting the spicy bowl and the dumplings are super good. such a fun place to visit!

we often catch cupbop at the sugarhouse farmers market. in fact, it's often the only reason we go! i just love theirfoodand they are just so friendly. they'll often give us some extra since my husband and i usually share a cup. it's delicious. we like to get a meat variety so we can have it all in one bowl. it's super filling, even when we share! yum yum.

my favorite slcfoodtruck!. we finally tried out cupbop after seeing them around for a while and i don't know why it took us so long! it's amazing! the guys that work on the truck are very nice and giving, often adding in a little extrafoodwhen they find out my husband and i are sharing. but thefoodis oh so amazing. we like to get a bit of all the meats and the flavors are absolutely perfect. plus the servings are huge so my husband and i don't have any problem sharing a cup together. we've tried out quite a few trucks in slc and we have to say that this is our favorite so far. we'll be eating at this truck any chance we get!

we finally caught up with cupbop!!! we had been chasing this truck for weeks.. amazing!!! it is the bestfoodtruck in utah. when you order, let them choose.. you won't be disappointed! the spice level is perfect the meat is cooked perfect. the only problem is you will be craving cupbop at 3:00am in the morning so order 2!! great job guys way to put slc on the map for great korean bbq!!! "shhhh... just eat!"

had bi-bop hot version while i was on lunch at outdoor retailer. served large cups andfoodwas full of flavor. man i wish they had something like this where i lived. no offense to otherfoodtrucks but i think i will be eating here everyday here. highly recommend these guys! saulgoodman

맛좋은 ( i hope google translate was right). we stumbled upon thisfoodtruck while at the provo farmer's market. not sure about the long line, but we like to try new stuff. well our gamble paid off. the line went fairly quick despite how often the patrons wanted to talk to jk. he seemed quite popular with the female patrons. :) i got the hot bop (spicy pork bulgogi) while the rest of the family tried the bbop (regular beef bulgogi). they also offered chicken and just noodle bowls-errr cups. each was anywhere from $7.5 - $8 in a good size bowl. the meat was tender, juicy and flavorful. the sauces they added afterward, including a lime sauce i think he said, was very good and let you select how much heat you would like. it was all very tasty the menu mentioned vegetables with it, but all we got was lettuce. it did make it taste like having the bulgogi lettuce wraps at other korean restaurants. jmho, but i think having a couple korean potato chunks or maybe a bit of kimchi would put it over the top. we will hunt this truck down the next time it comes to utah county.

awesome food, awesome people. i belong to a business club called deca at salt lake community college. one of our charity events was raising money for shriners hospital at a skating rink. we asked cupbop to join us to sell to patrons and attract more people to the event. they didn't know what we were doing for shriners until they got there and gave out free bowls of theirfoodto everyone!!. that was the first time i had tried it and it was the best asianfoodi have ever tasted. awesome food, and awesome people for donating their time and hard earned money to support a great cause. thanks cupbop.
