very good. i was directed to this place by a friend, who had seen it on "drive-ins, diners, and dives." i wasn't quite sure what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised. the restaurant is kind of small, and very popular, but there is fast turnaround. we went on a sunday afternoon with our two kids, and only had to wait about twenty minutes to be seated.
my husband had the firecracker burger, and he said it was delicious. kind of sweet, pretty spicy, but none of the flavors overwhelmed any of the others. i ordered the red rage burger, which had alfalfa sprouts, sesame seeds, and boursin cheese all on a whole wheat bolo roll. amazing. our son is five years old, so you never really know when he's going to decide to be a picky eater, but he loved his burger -- you can't really go wrong with a plain burger in just the right size for little hands. their home made ketchup was a surprisingly big hit, too. i may have spoiled me for regular ketchup forever. our daughter is only 9 months old so no burger for her, but she positively devoured thesweetpotato fries i gave her.
if you're a vegetarian or vegan, they have plenty of options for you, many sounding quite yummy even to a dedicated carnivore like myself. the decor and menu all seems a little "hippy-dippy," but it really wasn't bad. i was amazed at how eclectic the clientele was... hipsters, families, older folks, "occupy" types -- everybody could finally agree on one thing, that the food at crazy burger is great! a little pricey, but tolerable.
in fact, my only true complaint was that the service was a bit slow. we'll definitely be back!
