you are seriously missing out if your wife doesn't ask you for some country style donuts fromtimeto time. this 24 hour place has something truly special. i can't get enough of their glazed lemon filled, apple crumb, boston creme, or any of their cake style donuts. one night i went by at 2:00am, and the lemon filled donuts were still warm. i almost died and went to heaven right there. thanks to country style, i've eaten more donuts in my four years in richmond than in my entire life elsewhere. i got to get me some right now! oh wait... they are closed on monday.

no more wasting my time. who cares how good the product is if they don't have any product? the shelves have been empty just about everytimei've gone there; i'm not driving 25 miles each way for a choice of glazed donuts or glazed donut holes

awesome. my wife and i came to richmond for our anniversary. yep 24 years. firsttimeaway overnight since having kids 15 years ago. we stayed at the west end. i had read about country style donuts in a magazine or somewhere. after a day of richmond, belle island, etc. we where heading back to our hotel in the west end. we remembered the donut shop and with gps directions made our way there. i admit we where a little leary of the location as the sun was setting. but once inside the smells, friendly staff put us at ease. the donut selection was great. my wife got a coffee roll the size of a hubcap. i liked the country donuts. i liked the way each donut wasn't perfectly uniform in shape. reminded me of the cininimon and sugar ones my mom would make in the kitchen on snow days.every donut was delicious. no complains. my wife and i always like the little places that are nostalgic and off the mainstream radar. this is well worth the trip.plus we won't be waiting for just anniversaries to stop in. i know people preach change is good, but in this case, i hope they stay the same. wish them the best of luck. rhett and pam

this is my 3rdtimecoming to this establishment. the pasties are good and normally i show up in the morning. but this was our first evening out there. well, after waiting for 3 minutes while the guy working the chatted away with some woman, another gentleman came out from the back. neither guy interacted with us - like they didn't wanted our business... i was ready to walk out but my spouse had already started a order. someone needs to talk to those guys working there working habits.

best in richmond by far. temptation anytimei go to the east end of richmond. as a donut hound, these are the best glazed donuts or chocolate filled i've found in virginia. i always get a cinnamon roll or a monster apple fritter that can last the rest of the day.

best to go by noon. closed on mondays.

open 24 hours?. so i love these donuts but the secondtimei visited at around 5:30pm, the lady working there said they were sold out and that the next batch would be available the next morning. i just figured a place that was opened 24 hours would continuously make donuts otherwise, why bother staying open that late?

worth the drive. we live 2 hrs away in chesapeake, but will make a richmond trip for these bad boys. one thing tho, i called to see whether they had anymore maple and the girl said it would be a couple hours. i asked her for an estimatedtimeand she replied, "whatever a couple hours is." didn't appreciate it, but i won't hold that against how delicious the donuts are.
