living in dubai nearly 4 years i've come to expect poor service in restaurants. imagine my surprise when our server was attentive, thorough and really friendly (tall male, wish i had caught his name!! an incredible experience dining outside. tasty, well portioned food too

if you’re familiar with dubai marina, you may very well be familiar with the counter culture cafe – the rather inconspicuous restaurant which has been around for years, located on the lobby level of the dubai marriott harbour hotel & suites. one might think the name is something of a misnomer, as there’s nothing particularly subversive about this place. the interiors are decked out in a cheerful orange and white, with an inoffensive all-day-dining restaurant feel.

nice restaurant layout, amazing lamb ouzi, shawarma and black pepper beef...thoroughly enjoyed the iftar...

highly recommended...

new ice cream flavors to try...baklava and umm ali...nice creativity..

what a delightful place. i had gone to this place for a iftar party and i have to say this place had so many options to chose from and the desert counter itself had 20-25 jtems. i tried every single item and they all tasted absolutely delicious and i would love to visit this place again

ccc just went through a revamp with new interiors and a new menu to boot. loved their retail section, side note they even stock the large version of maille’s dijon mustard :o. it’s a casual dining eatery with daily specials (they have a baking timetable too, when we arrived they just finished baking quiches and up next were cookies), a build your own salad station and a huge selection of cakes.

i loved the ramadan iftaar box by counter culture cafe.

it was so lavish. the quantity and quality both were impressive. soup, starters, salads, breads, main course and beverages were all labeled and were in a gorgeous sturdy box.

although we ordered for 4 people the quantity was enough for 7/8.

my family loved the taste. it was like having our own personal buffet. a highly recommend trying it.

mitchelle deserved to be applauded! she's so hospitable like most filipinas. her dedication to make her customers smile is appealing. this kind of enthusiasm invites guests like me to dine and enjoy the beautiful ambiance of marriott marina. thank you mitchelle for the great service and delicious food recommendations. god speed!

such a lovely bar. the food is also amazing. good drinks packages, plus you can use entertainer / zomato etc for food and drinks, plus they have a good happy hour. the staff know our names and always welcome us when we arrive. it’s like having a local pub, just as we had in england.

5 stars for the following:

allows dogs, even gives offer for people with dogs and provide water for them. most dog friendly place in dubai, would give more stars if it was possible !

decent prices for drinks at happy hour and one of the very few places or maybe the only one were you can literally drop in and sit next to the street outside and have alcohol without feeling you are even in a hotel.

to top it off they actually have good food, so really nothing bad to say about this place. could add a light beer on tap though please, amstel light or bud light...

great little place to have a few drinks and dine al fresco. good pub food, packed full of flavour and you can tell the chef puts effort into what he’s making. sometimes places like this are so focused on the drinks that food is an afterthought, not here - i enjoy visiting this place to eat as much as just having a few drinks outside enjoying the weather. it’s dog friendly too which is a bonus :-) the staff are attentive and very very pleasant which just makes the overall experience that much better.

we went to counter culture for dinner with our friends.
staff is nice and kid friendly place. we ordered their special veg salad , chicken curry, roasted chicken and fish which were all amazing.

has ample of space and the area outside the restaurant has a nice view in the evening. good for taking pictures :p

the taste of the drinks could be improved. have had much better!

tried the iftar buffet at counter culture and it was indeed a rewarding experience. great variety of desserts and good food. the ambience was warm and welcoming. wish i could have tried all the desserts though ..... sigh!

i found this deal from cobone which was aed 79.00 for an international dinner buffet with unlimited soft beverage valid on thursdays. among all the thursday dinner deals, this is the most enticing deal so i bought 2 vouchers for me and my friend.  . it’s not difficult to find since it is at dubai marriot harbour hotel. dinner starts at 6:30 pm but they let us enter even if we were 30 minutes early. they even accommodated when we ordered tea. when we arrived, the food was ready. here is the list of the food served on that day.
