a trial of a new place turned out to be a wonderful decision since their coffee collection is one of the best i've seen so far. theirfoodportions are also great. they are just situated in a location that's difficult to find for first-timers and to navigate in a vehicle.

corridor seven coffee roasters - 4/5

i had an hour to spare before returning to mumbai and my search for afoodplace ended at corridor seven coffee roasters. it had an interesting menu that caught my attention. from the reviews and pictures, the place seemed like a quiet quaint cafe. when i reached there, it was a different beast altogether. brimming with the student crowd, the place from outside was no less than a pub. inside it was mad chaotic. still, the staff was handling it expertly and warmly.

basil with coffee julep - this is one of the coolest combinations i have seen. cold-brew with basil leaves and ginger ale - i was not aware of the fact that it was the combination i was searching for an eternity.

blt sandwich - a nice option to go ahead and try. the presentation was also on point.

i seriously wanted to try soul latte but it was taking a bit longer to come so i had to skip it (the train was already on the verge of leaving). i am just grateful that i visited it despite the time crunch. will visit it to try out a few more combinations of coffee the next time i am in nagpur.

this place can be a little difficult to locate but i'd probably blame the maps for that. once you reach inside though, you are greeted with a very friendly staff. thefoodis pretty delicious. i had a couple of breakfast platters as recommended by them for a hungry family of 4. the indian omelette is very good, sausage and ham, the right balance of smoky and cooked. the bacon was slightly over but that is just me being too critical. we had cappuccinos which were freshly brewed in front of us. the almond financier was delectable, that was a surprise in the end. all in all, couldn't have had a better meal in nagpur

corridor seven coffee roasters is a hidden gem if you haven’t discovered it already! with multiple items on their menu awaiting patents, it is hands down one of the must-try places within nagpur. with that, let’s dive right into the review of this amazing place:
• ambience: well, this outlet offers your typical college-going-crowd-jam packed vibes specially on the weekends, so if you are a fan of private cozy spaces you might not really like it! but if you are sometimes a fan of loud, boisterous places - you might actually enjoy it!
• food: coming to the best part about this place, there were many items on the menu although we ended up ordering these specific ones:
• blacksmith : one of the most popular items on the menu, this drink is a desserty delicious combo of black milk and espresso with ice. a smooth consistency which rolls off the tounge, this drink is sure to drive away your blues!
• nameless: a subtle chocolaty cappuccino which is not quite mocha and has the right balance of mild sweetness and dark roasted coffee, this one’s a must try hot drink here!
• cinnamon bun: ah the good old cinnamon bun, with the subtle smooth cream cheese glaze on top, it is the perfect add-on for all things coffee!
• falafel : the falafel was well cooked with a beautiful golden crusty exterior and tasty filling. served with pita and slightly spicy delectable hummus, the dish was really tasty yet a bit low on the quantity.

all in all, cscr is at least a one-time must to visit and enjoy the variety of dishes on the menu limited not just to coffee but also the differentfooditems! happy café-hopping!

this feedback is for zomato. earlier i would always tip the valet phyisically. now that there is a feature you guys have started charging crazy delivery fees. it's almost at least rs. 100 over the normal charges after adding taxes, delivery charges and tip. people won't tip because you charge so much over and above thefoodcost.

the quality and taste are good but the portions are too small, especially the desserts. blueberry muffin was tiny, the carrot cake hardly qualifies as one portion (i miss chai point and thefoodthere).
this is okay for an occasional order, but unless they increase the size, it’s not going to be on my places-for-an evening snack- list.

been there twice. absolutely loved it. want to visit it for a breakfast too. such varieties of coffee! i feel like trying'em all, maybe i will. that's the dream xd thumbs up to the place. thefoodmenu could be worked with a lil but the thing is, it is about coffee and this absolutely delightful and more than our hands full.

the breakfast story at corridor seven:
eggs benedict in hollandaise sauce with a side of paprika sausages! 🍴 😍

eggs benedict consists of an open-faced sandwich of two halves of an english muffin topped with a poached egg, bacon or ham, and hollandaise sauce.

hollandaise sauce is an emulsion of egg yolk, melted butter, and lemon juice. it gives the dish a kind of sourness, that leads to a burst of flavors in your mouth seconds after. the dish was sublime, truly.

apart from this, brioche french toast : brioche is a kind of sweet french bread made with milk and eggs.

& shakshouka with pita bread: traditionally, turkish...poached eggs with tomato and bell peppers base.

corridor seven coffee roasters
some beans, some tongue and no scissors
sitabuldi, nagpur

i recall 7 years back someone casually mentioned the best coffee at nagpur is at gokul. i agreed. that is where the coffee culture of city was. filter #coffee. mocha arrived and bought in some french press and fine beans. focus however stayed with food.foodover coffee. yet we had cafes. 2020 and we have some options, cafe coffee brews and beans grind. i found my coffee paradise hidden in a chaos. welcome to corridor seven coffee roasters!

the location confused me. i was expecting tired aunty with shoping bags, but i found corporate lady with laptop. i was expecting kids wandering around, but i found youth just quietly chilling around . whenfoodtakes a back seat, coffee culture arrives. i was just happy to just relax and enjoy my coffee with no noise around me. not a place for kitty, but a place to catch up. share conversations and enjoy some serious caffeine.

the coffee here comes from #chikmagalur. the western slopes churn out a rich bean which stands tall even in international market. they grind the coffee and use different techniques to extract the perfect flavour. for those who have afoodmandate this is perfect brunch place with variety of egg and bread options . i won’t talk much about it as coffee is what i want sell here. check menu on #zomato.

thanks neha for pushing me consistently for 6 months to pay one visit to corridor seven! that is neha - she is persistent :) i and many ragged her when she started her blog as tongue and scissors. she started when things were just picking up on internet andfoodblogging ( influencer culture or whatever you wanna call it) was fairly new to nagpur. people were just not ready for change. she was patient and she faired well. setting up her own followers and style. things moved to instagram few years back and we have many talented folks, probably very ahead in game. but no one can take away the fact she paved on the way!

as i caught up with the most laid backfoodblogger in town, i could not but appreciate the serious coffee culture at the heart of nagpur. thanks to ‘tongue and scissors’ and cheers to the serious caffeine buisness at nagpur!

i sharefoodstories not photography!
