been meaning to try out this cafe for the longest time! finally visited on a busy saturday morning. this lovely cafe has both an indoor and outdoor seating area. firstly, the selection of coffee is wonderful! coffee anthology offers a selection and variety of beans every few/week.
the croissant benedict was to die for! delicious flavour and texture from the garlic almond crunch, and the creamy 63⁰ egg topped off the dish! chilli scrambleeggswas also perfect! both dishes were well priced and very generous servicing as well.

definitely recommend this place for a perfect start to your morning! pip ondadip

excellent service, delicious coffee and wonderful avocado toast.eggswere undercooked even for a runny egg (undercooked whites); but i’m willing to chalk that up to the mystery and variability ofeggsand would come back again.

green scrambledeggswith pork belly $18 - 5/5

simplicity can sometimes be better and this was certainly the case here. every single element was executed to perfection which made it impossible to fault this dish. the creamy scrambledeggswere heavenly and the quantity was monstrous. the pork belly was cooked perfectly and every bite melted in my mouth. the pork crackling was a delicious surprise - crispy and very well seasoned. the tangy pesto mayo complemented the pork belly excellently, but the tiniest flaw would be that the pesto flavour could have been stronger. nonetheless, this dish definitely made my day and coffee anthology is a must-go if you happen to be in brisbane.

travelled from melbourne for work and wanted a nice brekky/ brunch to enjoy whilst i was here.

service was on the slow side, though i was seated on the bench so it could be that i was constantly being missed.

unfortunately i couldn’t order coffee as they don’t do offer a decaf which is surprising for a cafe that prides themselves of their coffee.

avo on toast was ordered this took over 35 mins to come which is far too long for a place that has maybe 8 items on their menu. it was okay but not something i’d wait over 30 mins for and the berry sauce was nice but didn’t complement the dish just sort of sat there for decoration and some colour, eggswere near impossible to eat with the the rest of the dish and the quinoa puff was over kill, way to much of it.

definitely in need of more staff or better preparation.

being from melbourne which is the capital of divine cafe culture i had to visit this place given it's rather high ratings. i thought it was ok but nothing really to rave over unfortunately. the menu was very different to what is published on zomato so i suggest you use it as a guide. i had the miso scrambledeggson sourdough with ham and a soy chai latte. the miso scrambledeggsand ham were salt overkill so definitely not for those with a low sodium diet. the chai latte was ok but not overly impressive compared to the other places in brisbane. i do have to admit that the waiting staff are very polite and attentive which was lovely to see.

came here for lunch on a wednesday. the place was busy but there was still plenty of seating available. the waiting staff who served me were very prompt and friendly. the flat white i ordered was smooth and had a lovely fruity undertone.

i ordered the croissanteggsbenedict with tumeric hollandaise and pork belly. one word: wow. the tumeric hollandaise was one of the best i've tried. perfectly balanced in flavour. the slow cookedeggswere melt in your mouth. the croissant was just as a croissant should be and that buttery texture was a match made in heaven with the tumeric.

the coffee and food came out fast, which was impressive considering the time of day.

visited coffee anthology for brunch on a thursday for lunch at 11:00am and was surprised with the number of people in the cafe. this cafe seems to continually be very popular and is always packed with lots of customers. we were seated after a short wait and served with some table water - the table water however turned out to be sparkling water which we were not a fan of so we requested regular tap water which the staff were able to accommodate.

i ordered the daddy's girl waffles which were really delicious. you could definitely tell that the waffles had a hint of coffee in them but the flavour was not overpowering. the white chocolate marscapone was delicious and not too sweet which was a perfect addition to the waffles. overall, all components of the dish complemented the others very well.

the bagel was one of the cheaper items on the menu. it was definitely worth its price though. the smoked salmon on the bagel along with the capers and creme fraiche brought out some of the flavours you wouldn't expect of a regular bagel.

the croissanteggsbenedict was slightly disappointing and is probably the low point of our visit. theeggswere extremely runny - it seemed as though the whites were barely even cooked and so, the yolk was completely runny too. apart from the extremely runny eggs, the croissant was well toasted and the turmeric hollandaise was very unique. we ordered this dish with ham and were very pleasantly surprised with the thick cut of ham. this dish would have been a winner had it not been for theeggswhich are a vital part of the dish.

the iced latte was slightly disappointing for its size. nevertheless it was very tasty. the chai latte was also very delicious but once again the size is quite small for its price.

overall, some tasty aspects at coffee anthology but just some disappointing points. would love to revisit to retry some dishes and try out some others!

finally got around to checking out this popular brunch spot a few weeks back and it did not disappoint! everything from the service and ambience to the food and coffee was on point. i ordered a pork bellyeggsbenedict on croissant because it sounded like the most unique item on the lunch menu. it was served with a turmeric hollandaise and beetroot puree which added an extra dimension and depth to the overall dish. can’t wait to check out their breakfast menu soon!

came here on a sunday morning as it was recommended by a lot of people and i’ve always wanted to try this place out. the place was packed but still managed to get a seat for 2 people. we ordered the “croissanteggsbenedict”($17), the “warm couscous salad” ($16), passiontwist, carrot & apple juice (from the bottle) ($6.5) and a cappuccino ($4).

food:
the food was amazing, very unique in their ideas and very tasty. the “warm couscous salad” was my favourite, it had a lovely balance between the cherry tomato, the feta cheese and the balsamic glaze sauce. the “croissanteggsbenedict” was delicious as well, i love the twist of putting croissants instead of the classic sourdough bread as usually i find the bread to be too dry or dense that it makes you full easily. the crispy croissant adds more flavour with the runny hollandaise sauce and the sauce was excellent (not too salty). the beetroot purée was a very nice touch as well, very smooth and the beetroot flavour was very subtle but still added flavour to the eggs.

price:
for the portion of each dish, the costs are quite average for a classiceggsbenedict dish (usually they are at least $16). but definitely worth it for these dishes as it does fill you up and they were very flavourful and unique (with their added twist in making it different to other places).

staff and service:
the waiter staff were friendly and very patient when taking our orders. i was a bit disappointed that the coffee was brought out cold and we did have to wait a bit for the food and coffee to come. i wouldn’t blame them because it was very busy at the time and there wasn’t a lot of staff. we were also seated more towards the back of the restaurant so not a lot of waiters would walk past (only when bringing food and drinks to other tables near us) so it was a bit hard to get their attention.

overall:
i really enjoyed the food, they were delicious and at a reasonable price considering the portion of the dishes. i would recommend to try the couscous salad andeggsbenedict. i wouldn’t mind coming back to try more on their menu.

the coffee was good, we had a lunch there with hubby who orderedeggsbenedict with salmon, theeggswere undercooked thus too runny. i had the pork belly burger and i had the impression that the pork had been reheated in the microwave. the service could be better, but the coffee great:)
