turkeyhunter. this is a location where we eat at least twice each week. it is a favorite of the office staff for birthdays and occasionally when we just want to show them our appreciation. as i perused the reviews here, i wonder if some of these folks are eating at the same place that i do, or if they are simply competitors, or just unfamiliar with greek foods. here is the worst thing about city cafe diner: the menu is extensive and it can take some time to review, however, i have never eaten a bad meal at the place and the portions are exceptional, always a "to-go box. they have a surf & turf on the dinner menu with a potato and grilled vegetables, substantial steak with a half dozen shrimp. lunch and dinner are exceptional for the price. i would judge the burgers as above average as i would the breakfast. the desserts are "expensive" but three can dine off one serving. i saw the remark about the dinner bread which is served upon arrival being "undone" - the restaurant is owned by a greek family and i believe the bread is referred to as challa bread, however, it is not woven, but is of decadent variety with a cream cheese center which is what evidently caused the customer to believe it was not properly cooked, however, the sweetness of the bread from the sugars and honey should have tipped them off.
