growing up near a bakery in nj that i still love more than any other to this day, cinotti's has landed second on my list. the combination of amazing cakes, cookies, desserts and sandwiches makes cinotti's an easy choice to visit. if you haven't had something there yet, you are definitely missing out.

my daughter used cinotti‘s for her wedding cake. we knew the family, the long reputation for quality and connection to the community, and we knew we would not be disappointed. it was amazing! their whole family is as genuine as it comes. the quality of their food is unmatched. cinotti’s is a jacksonville staple, and i would highly recommend them to everyone i know! if you’ve never been there, do yourself a favor and make the drive.

we ordered a cake for a special occasion. paid just over $280 for it. we requested a pink cake but received a white covered cake which started to fall apart even before we began with the party. it was a disgrace and a $280 embarrassment. do not order anything special you will be disappointed.

disappointing.  been there several times hoping things had gotten better but they didn't.  the products look like kids experimented with dough and icing. this place makes me wish that an experienced baker who loved to bake would open a real bakery, italian or otherwise, at the beaches. the reviewer who wrote that publix has a better bakery was absolutely right.

cinotti's always has great pastries and cookies. my mom stopped in and got some for our family christmas gathering. everyone thought they were "too pretty to eat" but once we did, we were glad we did because they were delicious! also, i'm not really a pumpkin fan, but the pumpkin doughnuts were so good. perfect amount of glaze.

christmas cookies. cinotti's does wonderful cookies. each year i call ahead for specialty pine nut cookies, fig filled foldovers, and fudge filled bachelor buttons. the staff is always smiling, helpful and they make you feel like they appreciate your business.

for this review we welcome a guest writer:  brittny lowrey was raised in mississippi and attended lsu.  at an early age she became an expert eater of southern and cajun soul food.  she moved to jacksonville in 2010 to manage a day spa in arlington.  her favorite foods are shrimp and grits and macaroni and cheese.  in her free time, she loves to travel with her fiance, read, and cook. follower her on  instagram fall brings about natural cravings for everything pumpkin, spice, and pumpkin spice flavored and cinotti’s has a big answer for those cravings. cinotti’s bakery on penman is an incredible bakery year round. they’ve been open in jacksonville since 1964 and moved from 1 st street to penman in 1990. we’ve sampled all sorts of their savory and sweet treats. however, their seasonal pumpkin spice donuts have taken jacksonville by storm. so much so, this year after a 30 day frenzy causing countdown, they actually held a midnight release party for their donuts! they are sold out every day by the mid morning, so after this review leaves the need for pumpkin donuts in your soul, you’ll need to call and preorder a dozen or two.  if you don’t live in the area, they actually have an etsy shop where you can order all their seasonal fare and have it shipped. cinottis – choc and glazed donuts on this visit, we sampled their pumpkin spice donuts, chocolate glazed donuts, original glazed donuts, and their coconut cake. i called to order all these items the day before i was going to pick them up. this is the advisable thing to do for pumpkin spice donuts unless you are going very, very early in the morning.   i think one of the most wonderful things about cinotti’s is the whole atmosphere of the bakery. when i walked in, i was immediately greeted by several members of the staff even t

deeply disappointing. we stopped in on a saturday afternoon since we were at the beach having lunch and i was in the mood for some baked goods. how disappointing! not only were they were out (and had been for quite some time according to the staffer) of the pumpkin doughnuts that everyone raves about, but the only pumpkin items they had left were a lone muffin and a harvest cake that was frozen (according to the same staffer). what? plus all of the other shelves throughout the bakery were pretty sparse and of the leftover items nothing looked particularly appetizing. this was our first trip in and probably our last.

disgusting and overpriced. we ordered a layered lemon cake. poorly decorated you could barely make out the writing on the top. it looked like someone used pepto-bismol to decorate with. the kids said icing tasted soapy and refused to eat it. my husband and i agree. the "lemon" flavor didn't taste lemony at all. it tasted like a bag of sugar with lots of yellow dye. the "white chocolate" shavings on sided for decoration ended up not tasting anything like white chocolate and we think it's just wax shavings. nobody had more than one bite and thew the whole cake away. what a waste of money. when your paying this much for a cake you except something that is edible which was far from what we received.
