this is only going to be food wise.
i got the filled donuts and they are stuffed way too much for my liking, i had to take some of the filling and put it on other donuts, but were overall pretty decent
the cupcakes were actually not that bad even though personally i prefer sweets by holly. so based on that we ordered a cake from here for my sisters party, i was disappointed because it was just covered in so much heavy sweet icing. not appetizing

my boyfriend ordered a cake from them and it looked like a jr highschool decorated it plus they mispelled my name. he and i were very dissatisfied and the cake itself didn't taste that good

amazing!. the people who work at cinotti's are the nicest group of people i've ever met. the donuts, cookies and cakes are absolutely amazing. they did my wedding cake and everyone raved about how it was one of the best cakes they've ever tasted, asking where we got it from. the cookies are also very creative in theme (kids are excited to look at them when we go in). i will definitely be back when in the area. the sandwich part of their name is definitely on my wishlist.

lard icing. the birthday cake we ordered had lard or crisco icing, yes lard icing, not butter cream. never again.

if you don't like this place then hurry back across the ditch and get some dunkin donuts or panera. lady who wrote a review about her wedding cake...whatever i bet your wedding sucked anyway quit hating on this place just because your wedding sucked not cinotiis fault you probably should have had winn dixie in oakleaf make your cake! ignorant people make me so angry.

i had always thought very highly of thus family owned and operated bakery but when my wedding cake wasn't what i had ordered i asked for a round cake and got rectangular cake i asked for fondant polka dots and got odd looking dots made with icing not to mention the cake was uneven. ...i called and made a complaint but it was obviously to late to get another cake and the employee argued with me and thus happened back in november but has really gotten under my skin with it needless to say be careful and check your cake thoroughly before leaving

disappointed. i've lived in jacksonville for 27 years and heard so many great things about cinotti's, but never got around to trying them. recently i was coming home from a dr's appt at the beaches hospital and thought i'd finally stop there and try them. it was lunch time so instead of ordering something sweet, i opted for a sandwich. i had the reuben and fries. was very disappointed. the corned beef wasn't very flavorful and the sauerkraut was also average. and sloppy. next time i'll try something sweet, if i'm in the area again.

serious sweets and treats. i have brought my daughters in for the sweet treats since they were very wee. that's when there was a bakery viewing window. now they are older, and they chow down on the great burgers and fries ( the nice grill lady sees us coming!!) and a cookie on the side, our day is a little more happy. thanks for the continued yummy memories, cinottis...:)

i don't get it. bacon doughnut and cannoli's. the doughnut was showered with bacon, however it wasn't anything special. the cannolis were just "meh", and tasted at least a day old. the outside just sort of mushed. the filling was nothing special either...had better from fresh market and publix. couple this with the bizarre christian stares you get, "have you been saved?" and it's a bit much.

i am so bummed about the cake they made for my 40th birthday. it literally looks like they just threw it together. it was supposed to have pictures on the cake... and it did- but they were cut out and just slapped on there. no icing piped around them , just very, very unprofessional. i've ordered cakes here many times but this was the first custom cake. never again. i'm actually embarassed about this cake--- so much so, i pulled over to write this review as i left the bakery on the way to my party. that's how bad it looks.

...on the top shelf of the doughnut case in a shine of glory, the one thing that tilted the scale to get us here, and the one i bought, was the bacon doughnut. i swear, the frosting tasted like maple candy and it was sweet & salty at once. i'm glad we stopped. this was amazing.

great food...they have bacon donuts!!!. let me just start by saying good lord that was good! so, that should tell you the way this review is going to go. this was one tasting that i was glad to be a part of. my only worry would be diabetes haha. that won't be a problem for you, but i had the pleasure of trying about 5 different donuts a breakfast sandwich and a cookie. side note: if you wear "skinny jeans", being a food blogger isn't for you. my dad used to kid about wearing maternity pants for eating, yeah my dad was a forward thinker
location: if you're going east on beach blvd (heading towards the water for the directionally challenged like myself), penman is on the left at a stop light that has a car wash at the light. if you see dunkin donuts, turn around, you went too far. anyways, head down penman and it will be on your right. they have been in this location for 26yrs and the locals will make sure you see it due to the crowded parking lot. and we all know a crowded parking lot is a sign of good food!
a little background first: this is a bonus section… michelle vining is the 5th generation baker/owner. cinotti's has a strong following, they have been around in one form or another since 1936 and their food shows why. if you stop by, make sure you say hi to michelle, she is very personable and loves to meet her customers.
food: the showcase donut for me is the maple bacon donut. when they brought that out, i think the clouds outside parted …. the sun started shining and as michelle started walking in slow motion while a jack johnson song played softly in the background (don't judge me). as michelle described the donut "some people don't care for it while some people's mouth's start watering". let me just say this, if you love bacon, there is no way you won't like this donut. it was the perfect combination of sweet & savory. the bacon is crispy and salty and well done…perfect! the next one was the carrot cake donut. i'm not a fan of carrot cake normally but this was surprisingly good. it was very moist and the taste was spot on. this will be an option for me when i go there now. there is a battle of the donuts going on with the staff of cinotti's between the key lime donuts and the coffee donuts. the front of the house is the key lime group while the back is the coffee group. well, cinotti's, i'm with the back of the house…coffee all the way. it was perfect, moist, not too sweet and just tasty. we also had the opportunity to try the bacon, egg, and cheese croissant. the croissant is big! this is not your burger king croissant, this is for big boys. big pieces of bacon, american cheese and a hearty serving of egg. it hit the spot. this and a cup of coffee makes for a good breakfast.
overall rating 1-10: 9.5 a great breakfast spot. it's a little off the grid but the locals are very loyal. once you stop by, you will see why.
would i eat here again: in the words of sarah palin "you betcha!" what a great place to sit down, catch up with a friend or a loved one and just enjoy some good food and supporting a local bakery/restaurant in jacksonville.
extra info: with valentine's day coming, make sure you check out their decorated cookies. oh and for all you mardi gras loving people, they are one of the few bakeries in the jacksonville area that make king cake's. make sure you call and place your order! good luck getting the baby! that probably sounds creepy if you don't know what a king cake is haha. google it please:)
