cilantro thai & sushi restaurant

got the chicken padthaiand chicken egg rolls .. both were super dry. not slit of food for the price. way betterthaiplaces around.

in all honesty, thethaifood at this restaurant isn't all that it's hyped up to be. there are far betterthairestaurants in the area. also, this place has horrible service. the waiters and waitresses are very unfriendly and do a horrible job at tending to the needs of the people they're serving. i've given this place many chances and they always get my order wrong. not only that, the only time they ever come by the table is to take my order and to give me the check. when i needed a new fork because there were pieces if rice on it, i couldnt get their attention because the majority of the workers were just standing by the front just talking to each other. i've given this place a chance and i refuse to go back. there are many other restaurants with excellent service and much better food.

really good food forthaiand japanese cuisine lovers. this place is very clean and smells good (and not just the food). very charming service with coalescing atmosphere. the curries are scrumptious.

mmmhmmmm. i recently dined in at the cilantrothai& sushi restaurant in akron and i will tell you, it was a sexual experience. i had ordered the lard nar mee krob which was plated provocatively. it just looked so delicious. my baby daddy ordered the crab ragoons which i did not want to try because i don't really care for crab but, he popped one in my mouth and i will tell you they are divine! they also deliver which is nice because i work nearby, they do not deliver alcohol though. i would go back here again in a heartbeat. i love this place so much that when my baby is born, if it's a boy, i'm going to name him cilantro.

far too expensive. there are much better and cheaperthairestaurants in the area. here you are paying for the location and many interior decorations if for nothing else as the prices are too high. far too expensive. the location caters to a particular segment of the dinner and lunch population in this town. i do not belong to that crowd. this part of akron has been renovated and refurbished in many fundamental ways to make eating there very expensive. it might be an effort to turn akron into what it isn't. not as high quality food if you are knowledgeable aboutthaifood. do not be misguided by the interior decorations. i wonder if during warmer months there can be enticements galore to get people there to eat outside. proximity to the ball park is not an excuse to waste time and money at this place. this aspect of an urban atmosphere is not healthy to our health either. walk around and notice the range of prices for food at near by places that are trying to capture the down town sleek affluent crowd.

a must visit!. easily one of the bestthaiand sushi restaurants in the region! not only is the service exceptional, but their prices are fair for an amazing meal. there is a wide variety of choices, servers are willing to help you get exactly what you want, and a very clean atmosphere. their outdoor patio is a wonderful time for relaxing on warmer days and the indoor dining is quiet, clean, and, exquisite. if you are in akron and hungry, this is the place to go. there is something for everyone.

the sushi is amazing and totally worth the price. the volcano roll is awesome. you can get the food at any heat level you like and even if the 5 does not do it then they will do hotter.

nice atmosphere!. this is a very nice downtown restaurant. the decor and atmosphere was quite elegant and the servers were friendly and efficient. unfortunately, my food was not as enjoyable. i ordered the padthaiand found it a bit too tart for my taste.

i wish the restaurant well as it does help the downtown economy but i shall not be going back for mythaifood cravings.

i had heard a lot of good things about a local addition to the local food scene in akron, cilantrothaiand sushi restaurant . while i knew it was downtown, i had never really bothered to find out where until today. i had been hanging out with some friend

was i really in akron…..?. what? where? really? that's what i uttered when informed we were going to feast at athaisushi restaurant named cilantro's in downtown akron for dinner. so i must admit that i was more than a little apprehensive as i normally stay clear of these type establishments since they can be hit or miss. i must admit i was immediately impressed with the décor and layout - in particular the table seating in the front window looking out at main street. what was once an old dreary bank has been transformed into a snappy, modern, "cool" eatery. a good start that got even better as we were fortunate to have a wonderful server who knew her stuff. always a pleasure but more important when dining at sushi eateries where, lets admit it, most of us need some guidance now and than. even the scottish beer (yes i said scottish) she recommended was amazingly tasty. i can't say enough about the food, in short - it was fabulous. we opened with the cilantro roll and sushi mori but careful with the apps as they are quite large and filling on there own so if you're not a big eater you may want less to start. we followed with the cilantro pepper garlic and padthaidinners and each was more than one person could handle especially after the appetizers. the "heat" ranges from 0 - 5, me i'm a worse, so i ordered mine at 1, some caution here, even the 1 was more hot than spicy (at least to me) so those with milder taste buds may well want to stick with the big zero... no shame in this and you won't have beads of sweat running down the sides of you face while it turns shades of red… never a fun outing when that happens… yes it has happen to me….. think new orleans..!!

hate it!!. i have been there several times.thaifood and sushi were not so bad,but services were terrible. you are not allowed to choose your own seat or even change. restroom was way too far . the price was ok,but comparison to amount of food, it was too expensive. i would suggest to ones who want to havethaifood to go to house of hunan or pad thai.

not so good. the decor is nice. lights are too bright, which does not provide a cosy athmosphere. you have to walk out of the restaurant and downstairs in the basement to go to the bathroom, and it is cold there in the winter. sushi is comparable to sushi sold at mustard seed, which is nothing special. it is lacking sauces. very primitive sauces. if you would like to try good sushi, go diagonal across the street to house of hunan.thaifood was good. even though the place was half empty, we were asked if we have reservations, and we did not get seated until later. when we asked if we can sit at the sushi bar, which was empty, we were told that we need to be seated. we had to get up and go to the bar to get our own alcoholic drinks. i will not ever go back there again.thaifood was equivalent to house of hunan, so don't see the reason to go back there.

love this place! such yummythaifood!
