great food!greatservice!. stopped in today for the first time. a very casual eatery. was greated by our server who was very helpful! we tried out the chili and was surprised and pleased with how good it was. ordered a hamburger and fries and a rueben sandwich. my husband hasn't tasted a rueben that good outside of a pittsburgh deli in many many years! the hamburger was also very good. one of the best i've ever had. looked over the menu and plan on coming again really soon to try out more items! highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the butler downtown area!!!!!!

the last time i was at the chop shop, i was disappointed. but this past saturday may 12th is a completely different experience. we hadgreatservice in the food was very good. i especially like the fact that it is a byob establishment. that is a huge plus! the reason being is you can actually indulge in some of the finer fair at the restaurant without breaking the bank when you bring your own bottle of wine or your favorite cocktail. so cheers. i will be visiting again soon.

yum-o!. love, love, love the chop shop! the atmosphere isgreatand the food is so good. those of us who work downtown are oh so thankful that cph opened this little gem. i have yet to make it for dinner on a friday night...but oh yes......i will! the rueben isgreatand super lean and "vote for pedro"....oh my!

just two words...(to begin). funnel cakes. anytime of the day. love it. the menu is creative, playful, and thoughtful. the food is fresh, delicious, and generous. the decor is way cool for butler. for a little town going to hell in a handbasket--this place is really leading the way with a freakin' klieg light showing what is needed to save butler. no joke. young people in the arts, restauranting, and shopkeeping...

they now have dinner service on friday and although i have not been (yet)--the menus they are publishing on their fb page are super awesome.

best food in butler period.greatfood! everything is prepared from scratch. they have an awesome open kitchen so you can watch the controlled chaos during peak times. i have never had a problem with the hours of operation like the previous reviewer. the hours are posted to the right of the front door and if they are closed for any reason, it is always posted there in advance. being a breakfast and lunch joint, i can understand why they may be closed on some government holidays and such since most of their clientele probably would be off. let's keep things fair here on urbanspoon and not review restaurants if you haven't actually eaten in them. fyi, the hours are also very accurately posted on their facebook page...

the shop is reallygreatfolks. to keep it brief, everything on the menu is great. personally, i like the daily specials. the atmosphere isgreatand my kids enjoy going there too. owners aregreatpeople. check it out. you won't be disappointed.

the chop shop isgreataddition to the city of butler..great food, good service! you really need to try the black bean dip w/ fried pitas so good :)but then again so is breakfast..their freshly made chips or their daily special :)

wow! amazing! thank you!. a special thanks to bill and his staff at the chop shop!

last friday, november 18th, bill opened the chop shop to support a fundraiser for tom widenhofer. the food was delicious as always, the service impeccable, and the atmosphere just right!

please support the chop shop! it'sgreatto have good food in agreatdowntown location!

good eats. becoming addicted to their food. has not been open very long, but developing a growing clientèle. may be the most entertaining menu i've ever read (check it out on facebook). the staff is very friendly, fast service andgreatfood! planed on working my way through the menu, but hard not to reorder something when it is so good. it is a local family business. also heard they are adding sunday brunch, starting next week, to their business hours.
