chompers

i visit for aburgerlunch today. this is no flashburgerjoint like betty’s burgers or grill’d but chompers serves great burgers at a fraction of their prices. i ask for a chompersburgerand it takes almost 10 minutes to prepare.

presentation is not as “pretty” as their competitors but i like the big beef pattie here. thisburgercomes with a fried egg, bacon, cheese, pineapples, grilled onions and hot chips. a very satisfying lunch which rates 4.5!

if you are feeling like indulging a little , this is a go to spot that is quite reasonably priced for the quality food they provide.

we had a fantastic lunch with a mouth watering, most satisfying burgers, loaded fries and smoothies. the donified myburgerbuns with crispy creme donuts while the other two got works burger. the meat was juicy which was balanced off with great flavours of the bun and filling. the three cheese loaded fries was epic ! can not wait to head back to turn the all you can eat home made nuggets on tuesday nights that my brother always raves about!

the insanoburgeris the probably the bestburgeri've ever tried and i always get friendly customer service whenever i'm in the store, would recommend!

i was a bit sceptical going as there have been a few dud reviews - but im in the thought that maybe a couple of those was just a bad shift.my experience with chompers was outstanding - love how they have the simple buns - cant stand the new fad brioce buns. theburgerwas so tasty - one of the best ive tasted in a long time.the girl talked me into making my chips rockstar and im so glad she did - it was something different. and to wash it down - we tried the root beer float and deep fried mars - was amazeballs!the store looked so clean and the staff were friendly and looked like they were having a good time which is nice to see. i don't live on this side of town - but i have heard that there is one over logan side which i will defintley give a go aswell.

rockstar triple cooked chips..... crap

mind blowing. wow. just wow. i have never been this under whelmed by aburgerin my 30 years.
firstly, we stood there for about 6 minutes waiting to be served as they took a phone order, another person did something on another computer, and someone weighed chips.
we ordered an angus steak burger, inferno burger, hand cut triple cooked chips with 'rockstar' topping and chips.
it took a while to come out but no biggie. but when it did, it wasn't worth the wait or the money. the angus was stringy, half the size of the bun and dry, a slice of tomato, two piece of beetroot, sad lettuce, bbq sauce. the inferno was an overcooked patty and the regular bits and pieces. something you would expect from a charity stall at the local school fete that you would pay $3 for and still be disappointed about. the rock star chips were undercooked, definitely not triple cooked, soggy, with a tiny bit of cheese, mince bits but none of the promised onions or sauce. we complained about the chips, so they put extra sauce on them.... good work, guys. not. 

just crap. so crap. look up 'crapola' in the dictionary and you will see a picture of those 'rockstar' (axl rose/alice cooper) chips. i am so surprised at the rating of this place.
the only thing they got right is that the infernoburgerwas spicy (little bit).

bad service, bad food, bad prices. i rarely write a negative review but this was just a horrible experience. rude staff and slow service were the beginning of a wasted lunch. then came the $7 milk mixed with oreos 'all-star shake' which was an all-star waste of money. but hey maybe the star of the menu the insanoburgerwill save things? not even close. i never eaten such a bland burger. boring old bun and the worst meat pattie i think i've ever eaten. tasted basically like mince with no seasoning and no other flavour. the 'pizza' fries were passable but nowhere near worth the money given that the snack chips are $2 and the small chips $3 but they only take $1 off and not $2 when you get the pizza fries with yourburger(so a grand total of $7 for a handful of fries and cheap cheese and processed meat). i love food and rarely give it up without a fight but the dogs for half of this because it seemed more to their tastebuds. at a grad total of over $50 for two people don't waste your time.

delicious fishy. fishburgeris awesome. great value for money and staff are helpful and very friendly, even if you do rock up 5 minutes before they close.

donutburgeris awesome! i dont know how it works but it does! onion rings however were average... way too much batter and too oily. also deep fried mars bar is a must try!

chompers is a laid back kind of place, where the best seat in the house eat is outside on the plastic chairs with mates and a “leave your diets behind” attitude. as well as their burgers they offer fish & chips, curly fries, potato skins and a selection of deep fried desserts. all of their burgers are available in different sizes and can all be “donified”. as it was our first experience we thought we’d keep it sensible and grab a donified hamburger that came with two krispy kreme donuts, handmade chompers juicy mince patty on a softburgerbun with fresh lettuce, sliced tomato, fried onion and barbeque sauce.

great burgers. ordered chickenburgerwith "ch-acon" add on. friendly staff. would come again.

i had a great crumbed fishburger- nice soft rolls and fresh salad in it. boylan's soft drinks were great and the staff were fantastic. one of the worst presented menus ever though - impossible to take it in! the insano and obsceno look like theyd give you a heart attack

i have never been dissapointed by this place. it's great for a quick bite of fish and chips, the service is great and the omgburgerand isanoburgerare amazing

had a hamburger and a works burger, i found theburgerpattie to be quite chewy and the texture was uneven. wasn't very flavoursome and the bun wasn't toasted.

really great!. very friendly staff and delicious food. they have glass bottle cokes and sell all sorts of unique drinks at a good price as well. their hot dogs are fried, which is hard to find here (since most rest. boil their hot dogs) really tasty burgers, especially the omgburgerwhich i find myself craving all the time.

if i could i would eat chompers for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
