i love this place it's one of my favorites.
ambience is always awesome and the staff always super friendly.
portions are big and food never disappoints.

so happy that they're on uber eats as it got me through a few lockdowns.

wonton soup is highly recommended the broth always hits the spot.

kids love the curry puffs and my absolute fave is the ribs and sticky rice cannot go wrong.

located on great south road this thai place is pretty easy to find with plenty of off street parking. this place was empty when we visited on a saturday night but proved to be popular with many people dining in and taking away.

once greeted and seated we found the menu very easy to choose from with photos of each dish, all were reasonably too. we ordered f19 and f20 with tofu (both included a serving of rice). the garlic and pepper tofu was very well seasoned, a tad too peppery by the end of it but the dish was tasty. the spicy cashew tofu had a very nice nutty flavour with a spicy kick to the dish and was our favourite of the two.

if your in the area and after a quick and authentic meal, give this place a go.

i don't write as much reviews as i should, but this place is a little gem. otahuhu has excellent vietnamese options but for some reason i was surprised to find this small, fairly sparsely appointed restaurant to have some of the better thai food i've enjoyed. 

the quality is excellent, they cater well to everything from my wife's 'extra mild' to full strength for me, and the lady at reception is super friendly and chatty and very happy to customise meals somewhat if required.

a real hidden gem and highly recommended.

very busy eatery with takeaways and dine in customers in nice surroundings with pictures of thailand on walls. food delicious and served promptly. we had prawns for entree, duck curry and beef salad. would return again.

ordered via uber eats. what a good way to ruin a good thai curry (panang) add loads of cauliflower and broccoli and a hint of curry paste. had better thai curries at royal siam. just wanted a good traditional thai curry, received the bland version. not yummy, just full of broccoli and cauliflower and loads of soup. close to standard red curry. no kaffir lime leaves. unfortunately it wasn't panang curry, just some thai curry loaded with watery winter veg floating in coconut milk. chicken satay is good but again not as good as other places i'v been dinning yet.

yuuuuuummmmm! that is all i need to say. food speaks for itself and the portions are huge!! 🤤♥️ pad thai and mango curry in the pic. so good. the hidden gems of south auckland ☺️

we had a takeaway delivery of sweet & sour tofu & veg rice and a veg pad thai with spring rolls. everything was top notch, the best takeaway food we have had in a very long time. really nice careful flavours of ginger & garlic, good level of spice, the rice was beautifully cooked and travelled well, and the pad thai fed us for 3 days. very impressed and thankful. highly recommended

i have purchased from this establishment over 100 x ... my last takeaway order contained angel wings that were completely inedible, due to the chicken being raw.
due to being a regular customer, i thought i’d discuss with them on my next visit, which was today.
upon raising the issue, i was informed they wouldn’t replace the dish (as i ordered others entrees with my meal today)and they offered for me to purchase the same dish, for half price.
this review is based don the fact i raised a health risk and the owner refused to accept and provide a remedy.
very disappointing considering i have supported their business over many years - we will not be revisiting ever again. we will also share this story with our friends and family.

i’ve eaten food from this place on many occasions, mostly takeaway and once dined in. yummy food, generous portions, quick service. would recommend to anyone!

it was our first time eating here, although it was 10 minutes to closing the owner allowed us to eat in which was really cool since we didn’t feel like maccas, bk etc.

real friendly owners and really helpful, fast ordering, food was delish! we ordered the nasi goreng, satay skewers, chicken cashew nuts and the mussels. all were very yum! we asked for more plates and they had no problem giving them out. also came with chilled water, not many places give out chilled water sometimes. awesome place with great food would highly recommend to anyone looking for a thai food place in otahuhu.

dined hereafter seeing great zomato reviews and was a little disappointed. service was ok, we had to order at the counter even though we were the only patrons at the time.

highlights was the nam tok. the beef was tender and the marinade was very tasty. the dining are and decor was nice.

unfortunately there were many lowlights. the yum talay was really just salad with hardly any seafood in it. the seafood that was in it didn't seem fresh. the mussels and squid was really rubbery. if i knew this i wouldn't have ordered it.

the mango curry had a very artificial mango taste to it and was too sweet. the pad thai was overcooked and too soggy. it lacked that chewy noodle texture a good pad thai usually has.

i would probably only come back to try their noodles and if that isn't any better i wouldn't come back at all.

this is otahuhu's real thai restaurant . been coming here for years. super clean and consistent taste. great portions even better service and extremely reasonable on the pocket. place is family run and food is light-years ahead when compared to their overhyped neighbours. the chef is an absolute star.
