a steal for lunch!. beautiful restaurant. nice ambiance. friendly and helpful staff. great selection on the lunch menu and very reasonable prices. i had the baked snapper with risotto. it was decadent, filling and a more-than-generous portion! there was boldness, spice and acid--just delicious! my boyfriend had the chicken stir fry with sweet and spicy asian sauces. also a generous portion and very flavorful! we will be going back!

i have had seafood at many fine restaurants around the world but the lobster and edamame risotto here blew my mind. great martinis, relaxing atmosphere, and amazing experience that will definitely bring us back. many thanks to daniel (our waiter)!

lovely dinner. i had my first meal on dec. 27, 2013 at chive with family who are great fans of all the family restaurants.
we were not disappointed in the service with the place fully filled with customers.
it is an upscale spot, with nifty lighting, a charlie chan movie showing ( silent) and well-staged seating. our crowd had a large table in the back and were able to hear one another after the owner most politely visited with us and turned down the music which had a speaker by us.
my salad was perfect, with mango and arugula. i had the small potion of one half a lobster and orzo that was delicious, and i was sorry that i had ordered the smaller portion. i finished off the she crab soup my husband had ordered that had some bits of crab shell in it that he could not be bothered with but did not stop me from finishing it. he did add sherry, but i am sure that it was fine without it. my daughter had her favorite, octopus, not fried, but i did not try it, maybe next time with two glasses of wine!
a lovely experience. going back soon with friends.

a lunch to remember in savannah. lunch specials were amazing. at 9 dollars a plate the perfect amount of food combined with a great atmosphere. the food itself crab cake and risotto with grilled fish was very very good. the risotto showed real creativity with unusual ingredients that combined in wonderful ways, will definitely be back when in town.

absolutely perfect!!!. we had been wanting to try chive for a while, and were sooo glad we did!! gorgeous decor, delectable food, and great service! the drinks were some of the best i've had anywhere, including nyc!!! at the end of the meal our server, who had done an excellent job, told us it was her first night on the floor alone!!! she was perfect for us: knowledgable, attentive without being too visible, fun, and had a wonderful personality. we would have assumed that she (devan) was a seasoned server!!!!
loved the small plate option and the desserts were heavenly!!! can't say enough and can't wait to go back!!!

amazing! in town two nights. oysters were blue point and ones from ca. had chilean sea bass and she crab soup. would recommend in heart beat. service by jennifer and ambiance was wonderful. only been open couple months.

we were in savannah for the weekend and stopped at chive for dinner simply because it looked cool. soo happy we did! our server was wonderful, knowledgable and easygoing. the atmosphere is charming and unique. the food was delicate and bold at the same time. the lobster with edamame risotto and flounder with crab were delicious and the steamed clams wereincredible. definitely going to stop in again to explore the menu and enjoy the cocktails (the basil mint is delightful!).

on last week a reservation for a group of 20 to dine at 6:30 pm on august 24th for a celebratory event. your hostess also called me to verify the amount dining. when we arrived we were told by your hostess that she could only seat 10. later she said that we had 2 more booths coming available. keep in mind we had 21 quest there. when the additional seating became available i was told by the host that the owner said no we could not have the additional seating. at that point i'm really not understanding. one of the tables we were promised became available. five of the quest sat down which included me, then the owner/cook came to the table and stated " he is the owner and he calls the shots". the owner also made it clear that we could not have the other table we reserved. i could not grasp or understand why we were being treated in such a disrespectful and unfair manner. we where well dressed, poised and spending money. not to mention when more quest of our party arrived they were told they could not come in because it was a fire hazard also i brought a cake and asked if they could hold it in the back, the hostess said sure. again some of our quest are standing up eating & drinking. the waiters were constantly rushing my quest to eat. a waiter brought my daughters cake out, which were only a few feet from the kitchen since we where seated in the back of the restaurant. later i was advised by there waitress that there is a 25 dollar charge for walking the cake to the table, that didn't included cutting or serving it. thank you chive for you distasteful , disrespectful unfair customer service. oh, did i mention we are african american?

beautiful restaurant, great atmosphere. food is really good!
