absolutly phenominal! the food was creative and absolutely delicious. the service was great and we were even greeted at out table by wolfgang puck himself. while it is pricey, it is 100% worth it!

asian fusion with a french twist. service was excellent, wine list extensive and quality and uniqueness of food was excellent. the short ribs were to die for and the tempura ahi tuna is also a must. also try the duck spring rolls.

experience is exceptional. the experience was absolutely exquisite all the way around. begins with ambiance to service to food and value. . . this is a keeper in our book and we shall return. great spot for any day of the week but the lovely red décor is so enchanting for valentine's day this weekend. enjoyed and with many returns.

these individual have been consistently turning out, exquisite asian fusion cuisine for decades. they know their food, customers and service and execute perfectly. they go the extra mile to ensure your experience is exceptional.

the food is indescribably prepared and presented with flavor and ingredient combinations and visual creations too complex to describe. their shanghai lobster with curry rice and crispy baby spinach leaves is legendary as is their huge chicken salad and duck spring rolls amongst many others.

very 'meh'. good amount of food, but given the price i would rather have less food that is better prepared and perfected. the duck was so underwhelming...the sauce was unbelievably bland and the fat was not fully rendered. fundamental mistakes.

i was really looking forward to trying this place, and was left full but not satisfied. :-(

we ordered fried calamari for $27.75: embarrassing. the dish was soaking in old, semi-rancid and burnt oil. a complete flop and a disappointment. next came the dungenese crab cackes which were slightly above average. then came our lobster curry dish - terrible; the lobster was soaking in burnt fried oil probably because it's dressed with deep fried crspy spinach that was not sufficiently drained. then came our cod which was just below average. this place is an embarrassment. th prices are exorbitant.

not worth it. i was so excited about coming here after seeing it featured on foodnetwork, but was very disappointed with the overall experience. we came during dinela week and ordered from the 3-course fixed menu. in a nutshell, the portions were tiny (even for fine dining, especially the main course), the food was just okay given all the hype, and we left still feeling hungry. this has been the only dinela experience that i've left with regrets. and we drove almost an hour to get here!

so-so, big price. the service was wonderful, and the recipes were too, but the food preparation was sorely lacking. for example, a large and expensive calamari salad came lukewarm and drenched in dressing. all of our other dishes were disappointing...close to being good but flawed by some sloppiness. despite our being pretty hungry, we didn't manage to eat our meal. i just don't get the high zagats rating either.

mmmmm dine la. the cripsy spinach was cool - tasted like potatoe chips. my fish dish was delish! the dessert looked devine, but i was off the sugar ;( we sat up at the counter where they cook right in front of you, which is a fun way to do it there, unless you are vegetarian...omg! nice wait staff and funny chefs.

the continuation of the birthday celebration occurred with darling friends, becky and max at chinois on main in santa monica. beautiful, charming people - the camaraderie outshining the food, which was fabulous. we started with what was probably my favori

it's time has come and gone.... our wait person was horrible. we were greeted with 'drinks?' and we were seated in the windows were the additional chairs at our table were constantly moved to other tables and back again. generally, the staff could care less whether we were there or not. the california-aaian fusion is done better elsewhere for less money.

yum!. this place has been around since the 80s and it still is great. if you can stand the noise and close quarters, the asian fusion cuisine and desserts are amazing!
