chinese szechuan restaurant

my favorite chinese restaurant in town. good food. good service. they treat you like family. good prices.

my go to chinese. hidden, but always crowded. why? best service around. the wait staff treats you like you're a regular, whether you are or not. and the best chinese food in pleasanton...probably the whole valley.

fast hot lunch $8 great. ordered pork singapore noodle dish for lunch, the nice thin noodle kind. was told to wait 10 minutes i think i was out with mine and my friends order in less than 8 minutes i think. hardly had time to start a podcast on my droid!!! great service..can't wait to go backj. my friend said the sweet and sour chicken he had was a lot better here than mandarine

best chinese food ever!!!!. there is something about the food at chinese szechuan that keeps bringing us back for more and more. maybe it's the best eggrolls i have ever had or the delicious crab rangoon. or maybe it's the honey walnut prawns or szechuan prawns. no matter what is ordered, you can bet it is fresh and delicious. whatever, frank lei is like a french chef with his wonderful sauces. he even makes his korean noodles from scratch? what a master! i don't think there's a chinese restaurant in sf that can compare!

a hidden gem. ok this is a hard choice here! is it my first or second choice for best chinese in pleasanton? for over 15 years gold chopsticks has been my go to place for chinese takeout but lately they have been a little too inconsistent. i won't give up on them but this place does make it a very hard choice when it come to my favorite choices for dinner. they are closed on mondays so i guess that may give a slight edge to gold chopsticks on monday!

as with most places for chinese they have the usual fare but this place has some surprises and make the standard items so very good. i have so many favorites but i have to usually order these so i have a pricey feast but leftovers for days. just recently i ordered a to go order with my parents and we ended up ordering so much food they even threw in a free entree and a couple orders of fried wontons and egg rolls.

prices are very reasonable with most entrees way under ten dollars and they really like to load you up. these guys sure know how to make you happy to keep the customer coming back for more. oh i will be back for more but not on mondays unfortunately. gold chopsticks better step things up and get back on the consistency scale.

good as stated by others.... was only disappointed that i didn't ask for extra items in my chow mein. i got what i ordered, chow mein, but i like it with more veggies in it, xtra bean sprouts, etc. but that not actually how chow mein is supposed to be, what i got was what it's supposed to be, noodles, meat and a few veggies.
all in all i was not disappointed with the food, just my choice, i should have known how to order what i actually wanted.

i have been going to this resturant for over 10 years and let me tell you it only gets better. from the salad they give you to start to the last item on the menu. this place will never leave my top 5 list. a+!!

hole in the wall but.... this restaurant is a hole in the wall located in the far back parkinglot near valley ave. the first couple of times you visit the service is okay but once you are more regular the waiters treat (and tease) you like family.

the menu items are varied and good and they will let you substitute different sauces with the dishes.

overall ambiance- dark but okay
service - good to great
food - very good
price - reasonable
