the food here is somewhatindiantasting. ive never seen a southindianmake such bad masala for masala dosa, it was full of chilli powder and uncooked tumeric taste. the pani puri was also spicy with no tamarind water. i knowindianfood is associated with being spicy but that doesn't mean you serve only that and forget other flavours! the owners seem rather unfriendly too...the ambience is drab..wouldn't recommend this place

one cannot argue the authenticity as the dishes are actually prepared by theindianfamily. i think this place serve both northern and southern flavours. delicious!

a well cookedindianmeal finally available in cebu. though the traffic in this city is really bad. took us 1 hr from mango avenue. but if you wanna eat goodindianfood, this is the place to be.
the service here is a little lousy, with only 1 waiter cum manager visible. we visited during lunch hours. but totally worth the taste never mind the lousy service.

i’ve enjoyed eating here several times over the past couple years - their food and service are great! i ask for extra spicy chicken tikka marsala on basmati rice - it’s fantastic! the owner is friendly and often stops by to say hello - try this place for yourindiancravings!

all i can say is: if you want anindianresto with really good food, a great rustic setting with a dining area where you can smoke, and pleasant service, then cherry's the spice is the perfect place for you.

my fiance knows i loveindianfood so he took me here. we had paneer tikka masala (cottage cheese tofu with tomato-based gravy) and mutton curry, with butter naan. we got really stuffed and satisfied. the waitress was very friendly, and upon entering, you are immediately served with a pitcher of water.

definitely a must-try and must-frequent! 👌👍

finally "dosa" arrives in cebu! it was a news delivered much delayed but one which got me dialing the restaurant number immediately for reservations. my first visit here was last year when my husband and i ordered dosas, extra sambar, mutton biryani, mutton curry, idli (not available), naan, lassi....like two people starving for southindianfood. and we were not disappointed! next visits i tried other items (and dosa of course). after experiencing variousindianrestaurants in cebu, i would say 'the spice' is closest to authenticity. only minus is staff. in my last two visits my table tasted spoilt potato fillings and (dare)mentioned it to the waitress who just gave us a bad look and said 'no it's fresh' 😊. that was the end of my love story with deliciousness..

the authenticindianfood experience is there! nice service and delicious food with decent choice of vegan dishes. if you don't know what to order ask the waitresses, they know perfectly the menu and can guide you upon your preferences. bon appetit ;)

just when we thought we knowindianfood, we were wrong! this is the real deal!

we've been searching for an authenticindianrestaurant and we know the search is over. we ordered something we thought we are familiar with but we were schooled real good!

we ordered chicken biryani - 1/4 chicken (leg and thigh) with a generous amount of amazing basmati rice which was cooked in a way i never had before. a lot of aromatics that waked my senses. the chicken was cooked to perfection and the spices were spot on! the serving of rice is good enough for two that we ordered chicken tikka masala to pair with it. great sauce, nice cook on the chicken and you can choose the level of spiciness - which we always go for mild to medium. to tame the spiciness, make sure to order their lassi :)

although the place needs to be kept better, over all, the experience was wonderful and we definitely recommend this place for people who love spices and aromatics.

authenticindianfood in cebu

so authentic it will give you the dreaded deli belly

be warned!
spent 4 days with gut wrenching pain, vomiting, shitting and fatigue
the worse case of food poisoning i have ever experienced

be warned!
if you are going to eat here just make sure you see the meat thats going to be cooked for you to see if fresh
also make sure the chief is hygienic

really happy that i finally found a decentindianrestaurant here in cebu! had the paneer butter masala, naan, mango lassi and the chicken tikka and it was all good and very filling. since i brought my 3 year old with me, i also ordered some french fries and that too was esquisite as they also added a few spices to make it more "indian." when we entered the restaurant, we entered the wrong entrance so we were welcomed by a strong aroma of spices and cheap looking seats similar to what you see at larsian. good thing the waitress brought us to the airconditioned room where most guests were seated andindianstatues and pictures could be found. they also played a cute bollywood movie wherein the waitress had no idea what the title was, plus there were no english subtitles. this could either be good or bad thing because instead of catching up with each other, me and my friend talked about how cute the actors were and busily googled what the movie was, which we later found out was entitled, 2 states. i heard from other friends that their service was quite slow during their visit but for us, it was just like any other restaurant; however we did ate there for lunch. bravo staff of the spice!
