always crowded, food varies. chanterelle's famous for theirtomatobisque and their broccoli salad. the crowds of people you see there are there for those items.
everything on their menu that you would expect at an american cafe, is pretty good. don't get anything ethnic, it's like going to taste of india and getting the fettuccine alfredo; you could, but why would you?
stick with salads, soups, seafood and sandwiches- the bulk of their menu. their desserts are great, their coffee quite pedestrian.
if you get the chance, get the grilled cheese andtomatobisque. you will love it.
