bland. we probably chose a bad day to come to chace. their grill was broken and they were offering a limited menu on a busy sunday. hence, the slow service can be forgiven, marginally. i say marginally because given the time we had towaitfor the food, the food was not worth the wait. nor is the price. it costed $10.50 for a few pieces of toast (normally comes with hash browns but because of the broken grill it wasn't available), 2 eggs, and 1 measly german sausage. the price for it's portion was a joke. we also ordered 3 thin pancakes and 2 eggs, and that costed $10.50 too. will not come again.

as i continue to waste money on so-called breakfast joints in seattle, i keep asking myself, 'where is the mcdonald's?' that says all one needs to know, as seattle would not know breakfast if it landed on the top of the space needle and announced it's arrival.

this place was in a great, cozy location and the diner was clean and staff very friendly. really made you forget you are in one of the most rude cities in the united states. however, the pancakes, eggs and sausage were absolutely horrid. the eggs must have been the powdered kind and the pancakes tasted like some sort of dough rubber tire. the sausage, as with all other seattle restaurants, was pitiful. no taste, flavor or hint that it might have come from a swine.

i am done spending my coin in search of a breakfast place. if i am out, i will just grab some coffee and a doughnut andwaitfor lunch, or better yet, waituntil i get to go home to colorado!

chace's pancake corral is the best!. my family and i have been going to chace's for over 20 years. it's a real neighborhood institution. the food and service are consistently wonderful. they are the only restaurant i know of who can make the perfect crispy bacon and hash browns as well as the perfect medium poached egg every single time i go! the staff are friendly and the candy bowl is always full. though it's not a fancy place and thewaitcan be long at times, i think it's worth it!

food fit for a millionaire. you'd never know by looking at the clientele, but this is where the elite of bellevue eat breakfast...and most of these folks became millionaires when that meant something. what, you don't have a million? no sweat, the prices are just what you'd like. lots of good solid breakfast choices served by an efficient and friendly waitstaff (well, you might sometimes need to make just a little effort to get them started on the right foot). be prepared towaitin line--but it's worth it.

greasy. i have lived right by this restaurant for 20 years and finally decided to try it.
it was terrible. the food was greasy.. the pancakes were like leather.. i can't believe that people actuallywaitto eat at this restaurant... just shows that most people have no taste at all.

nothing better.... imy family has been eating here since i was 7 years old (over 30 years). i always stop by for a meal whenever i am in town and the staff are great. bill chace taught me everything i needed to know about delivering customer service, counting back change and work ethic.

thewaitis always 45 minutes on the weekends unless you get there right when they open. don't ask how long it is going to be once you have been told, they don't lie, if they say it will be 45 minutes it will be.

best menu items:
potato pancakes
banana waffle with coconut syrup
and even though this isn't on the menu anymore you can order a "bills biggie" - the cooks still know what it is (hamburger steak on bun instead of the small hamburger patty).
