incredible breakfast and very affordable. i woke up late in the afternoon with breakfast on the mind. unplugging my iphone from its charger, i pressed urbanspoon. i expected, ihop, denny's, but no, chace's pancake corral scrolls to a stop. the name alone requires any sensible human to conjure up images of gunslinger's and stacks of pancakes. the restaurant's location is not apparent from bellevue way. the building wears it's 51 years with a sense of establishment; the "corral" is staggered as a ghost town from western films. you enter the building to witness the pancake slingers hard at work. the atmosphere is reminiscent of a 70's diner, decked out with wood panneling and family pictures. the food is simply delicious. the 'cakes are light, thick and come in all varieties. portions are generous and you leave feeling content. the service is fast and friendly. friends have asked me, "do you want to go to ihop?", i kindly reply, "no, only the corral can satisfy my breakfast needs." viva la chace's!

great old school breakfasts. chace's is like going back in time to when you were a kid. the breakfasts are good but definitely old school. the lemon cashew pancakes are the bomb.

hash brown omelette. 'nuff said. this little place has always been a staple in-between morning errands and picking up family members from the airport. to be honest, i have never tried anything else on the menu. i was told to order the hash brown omelette, so i did. i have never looked back.

after reading reviews, we were very disappointed. oil is going stale, "egg breakfast" is tiny portion and "cheddar scramble" tiny portion with one square of velveeta half melted on top. hash browns are off due to stale oil, waffles are sadly thin. our waitress was great! too bad she can't do anything about the poor food. we won't be back.

bland. we probably chose a bad day to come to chace. their grill was broken and they were offering a limited menu on a busy sunday. hence, the slow service can be forgiven, marginally. i say marginally because given the time we had to wait for the food, the food was not worth the wait. nor is the price. it costed $10.50 for a few pieces of toast (normally comes with hash browns but because of the broken grill it wasn't available), 2 eggs, and 1 measly german sausage. the price for it's portion was a joke. we also ordered 3 thin pancakes and 2 eggs, and that costed $10.50 too. will not come again.

as i continue to waste money on so-called breakfast joints in seattle, i keep asking myself, 'where is the mcdonald's?' that says all one needs to know, as seattle would not know breakfast if it landed on the top of the space needle and announced it's arrival.

this place was in a great, cozy location and the diner was clean and staff very friendly. really made you forget you are in one of the most rude cities in the united states. however, the pancakes, eggs and sausage were absolutely horrid. the eggs must have been the powdered kind and the pancakes tasted like some sort of dough rubber tire. the sausage, as with all other seattle restaurants, was pitiful. no taste, flavor or hint that it might have come from a swine.

i am done spending my coin in search of a breakfast place. if i am out, i will just grab some coffee and a doughnut and wait for lunch, or better yet, wait until i get to go home to colorado!

traditionally delicious!. chaces is a gem and even more valuble now than ever due to the decline of breakfast resturaunts in bellevue.
breakfast is still the most important meal of the day at chaces old fashioned pancake corral!
the food here is spectacular!

it's amazing how similar the pancakes here both look and taste like mcdonalds....and that's not a good thing. chace is better off buying some aunt jemima down the block at qfc. fail.

i started my summer adventure this week at chace's pancake corral in bellevue. the pancake house has been around and family owned since 1958. i could really tell from how homey it felt with the food, decor, staff, appearance and price.

great food at an affordable price. try the potato pancakes with a dollop of sour cream. sadly, the corned beef hash is canned.
