catfish sam's

i got the mini fish basket and it was good. the tarter sauce and hot sauce was good. thehushpuppies were not homemade and not good. service was excellent and tea was good.

absolutely delicious.... catfish sam's is an established business and a local tradition. decor is a little dated, but it's part of the charm. service is slow at times, but your patience will be rewarded. catfish fillets are large andhushpuppies, fries, pinto beans, etc., are served up hot and fresh. don't forget to try the fried pickles! if you want to eat healthier, they do have baked fish options. recommended.

if you like catfish you're going to "love" catfish sam's. whether you prefer it fried or baked, fillet or whole, then this is place for you. i've never had fish i didn't like at cs and i'm a regular. one of the things i also like about this restaurant is they bring an appetizer tray to the table when you arrive. you get an assortment of appetizers likehushpuppies, onions, okra, pickled tomatoes & pinto beans. come check it out!

coupon not worth it. decided to try this place when a coupon came in one of those coupon packs from the mail very disappointed even with the coupon it was expensive and the long wait for our meals and only room temperature breadhushpuppies and catfish and poor service made the coupon not worth it

changed lately?. we have always loved sam's, but were so disappointed in it on the night of july 26. first, we noticed the pinto beans tasted so flat with no flavor and no salt, not like their usual taste. the, we noticed their wonderfulhushpuppies were very chewy and had little or no flavor. then, came the fish. it was ok, but had a slight chemical taste. had a taste like fertilizer. we believe they have changed brands of fish and hushpuppies. we have decided to give it one more try to see if it has changed. after that, it may not make it to our list of restaurants to return to..

best castfish in arlington. what's not to like about catfish sam's? it's become our go-to family celebration over the years. there is never a wait but that's not the main reason the reason is the fish! consistancy means everything especially when the quality it excellent.

one of the reason's our famil really likes catfish sams is because of the family atmosphere, first you are served fresh, hothushpuppies then the table is served with red beans, coleslaw, pickles, onions and pickeled okra. usually we are full before our fish arrives but you have to eat it, it's just too tempting to wait until you get home. i like my fish crispy and catfish sam's is cooked perfectly the right amount of crispy-ness and still moist delicate flavor.


i have tried other places in arlington, but you really cannot beat it.

damn good. the side service is worth the price alone( pickled green tomatoes, pickled okra, homed pickles, baked beans, a heap ofhushpuppies and honey butter biscuits)! that's before you even order. the fish is cooked well but not the best in town. overall though, everything included a great old school fresh dinner spot. takes you back to yesteryear... will be back for sure.

legendary catfish. our family has been going to catfish sam's forever. it's an arlington staple. i could go for some catfish andhushpuppies right now....
