absolutely delicious....catfishsam's is an established business and a local tradition. decor is a little dated, but it's part of the charm. service is slow at times, but your patience will be rewarded.catfishfillets are large and hush puppies, fries, pinto beans, etc., are served up hot and fresh. don't forget to try the fried pickles! if you want to eat healthier, they do have baked fish options. recommended.

best place in town!. we have been looking for goodcatfishin this area and boy did we find it!!! this place is excellent. definitely come hungry. they really fill you up here. i can't recommend one thing over another b/c it's all so wonderful!!!

bestcatfishin the dfw area. i have been going here for 30+ years............never been disappointed....i recommend getting the tomato relish to take home.

if you likecatfishyou're going to "love"catfishsam's. whether you prefer it fried or baked, fillet or whole, then this is place for you. i've never had fish i didn't like at cs and i'm a regular. one of the things i also like about this restaurant is they bring an appetizer tray to the table when you arrive. you get an assortment of appetizers like hush puppies, onions, okra, pickled tomatoes & pinto beans. come check it out!

disappointed. went tocatfishsam's for lunch yesterday. very disappointing. the fish i ordered was very dry and flatter than a pancake. the baked potato was good, but i can make them at home. lunch prices were high and they don't offer a senior discount. i will not be returning.

poor customer service. my mother and i went tocatfishsam on september 30,2014. the food was ok. when it was time to pay the bill my mother and i was going to split the bill,the cashier did not ask how we were paying and put the charges all on my credit card. my mother had a coupon buy one get one free.after billing my card we told her we have a coupon. the thing about it she should have asked how we are paying and she didn't.i told her to reverse the charges back to my card in which she did and she told me it would take about five to seven days to go back to my card.i was pissed off because you just tired up my money. the so called owner came out to the front, bottom line he was rude, and no help at all. then had the nerve to tell us there's the door. what kind of way to handle a situation. bad customer service. never will go back there again.

coupon not worth it. decided to try this place when a coupon came in one of those coupon packs from the mail very disappointed even with the coupon it was expensive and the long wait for our meals and only room temperature bread hush puppies andcatfishand poor service made the coupon not worth it

i love this old place and thecatfishand all the "fixings" are yummy. just wish the prices were lower so we could come here all the time.

tradition.catfishsam's is a family favorite. i have eaten at no other place like it! they bring you a meal of bean, coleslaw, green tomato chow-chow, oinions, pickles and pickled okra and hushpuppies to start with.... then the fish comes and the hot rolls and honey! ummm... gotta try it!

best castfish in arlington. what's not to like aboutcatfishsam's? it's become our go-to family celebration over the years. there is never a wait but that's not the main reason the reason is the fish! consistancy means everything especially when the quality it excellent.

one of the reason's our famil really likescatfishsams is because of the family atmosphere, first you are served fresh, hot hush puppies then the table is served with red beans, coleslaw, pickles, onions and pickeled okra. usually we are full before our fish arrives but you have to eat it, it's just too tempting to wait until you get home. i like my fish crispy andcatfishsam's is cooked perfectly the right amount of crispy-ness and still moist delicate flavor.


i have tried other places in arlington, but you really cannot beat it.

best catfish. my first experience withcatfishsam's was on a friday evening. i had heard a radio commercial and my wife and i decided to try it, tho we expected a long wait as we had passed up several places with long lines outside the door. we were ushered to a cozy booth immediately and a waitress took our order promptly. within 5 minutes of entering we had our food. (we were in shock). the food was wonderful with plenty of extras and perfectly prepared (can you go wrong with fried catfish?) we have ben loyal customers ever since and have never been disappointed. we even learned they will prepare according to one's taste. (my wife likes her fish extra crispy) there is hardly any delay for the special preparation. bestcatfishin tarrant co. (try an order of the fried dill pickles)
