delicious! greathomestyle food and they serve amazing breakfast and homemade desserts! this is a lubbock local favorite! great prices! this is my favorite food place!

ok so l noticed i always rate places high but realized its because i take the time to find the best spots and we did it again... so glad to behomein texas and stopped at a real slice of texacana here, cfs is right on and the desserts are the best and its right off 27. service was excellent and some real fine examples of our beautiful texas women.

depends. i think this is a cute place. everyone is really sweet and friendly. there's a shoe shine guy, decor and cute sayings on the walls. we went for lunch, and overall the food is kind of take or leave it. i can make better cfs at home. i will say, the fried green beans are nice. if i do come back it will be to try out their breakfast game and see if i can snag a piece of chess pie. if you like the downhomecountry feel, friendly service and aren't too concerned about the food - this is a good place to try out.

home-style perfection. i cannot believe it took me so long to eat here and so glad i finally had the opportunity!!!
i had the tuesday pot roast special which may have been the best i've had - ever! i get hungry just thinking about it.
save room for their fabulous desserts that are to die for!!
super friendly attentive staff, reasonable prices with delicioushomecooking is the perfect recipe for success!.
cannot wait to go back!

breakfast time!. i must say, if you want breakfast, and you can make it to the east side of town, there shouldn't be any other option then. we are behind on the times, because we just tried this place about 8 months ago, but can't seem to stop going there when we have the chance. i think they have by far the best pancakes in town, theirhomemade biscuits are incredible, the wait staff is personable and so nice, and it's very inexpensive. i haave yet to go there for lunch, or have a pie, but if it's anywhere near their breakfast i'd say i better man up and give it a try! if you want breakfast, and it's before 11am, get your self to this side of town stat!

love it!. great staff and honesthomecooking. i like there new restaurant and there much needed parking. very busy lunch seen and standing in line is normal but worth it. my favorites are the chicken spaghetti, meat loaf, and chicken fried steaks. oh don't forget the pies......

not a chain restaurant!!! woo hoo. this place has a downhomecommitment to excellence & their pride shows in how they treat the public. great food & amazing sounding pies! i envy the staff as they are associated with greatness through this resaurant.

very impressed!. the service was fast and friendly and the food was super good! just basichomecookin', sort of diner style food. the fried chicken was crisp and tender, not too greasy. the fried green beans were wow! and the mashed taters with chunks of real bacon... did i mention bacon? sooo good.

for desert we had pie... the crust was homemade, very tender and flaky. somebody in that kitchen knows what they're doin!

finally tried it.. due to a bad impression from going to the doll house many years ago, we weren't eager to try cig right away. however, many friends have told us how much they like thehomecooking. we finally went this week and tried the hamburgers, which were very good. although the decorations, tables and chairs are mismatched odds and ends, the friendly service makes you forget about that. it's definately busy at lunch, but the food was very good and they are fast. i think we will return soon. my husband really liked the pie, but i was too full to try it. maybe next time!

almost like home. only thing that keeps it from being likehomeis no place to take a nap after the meal. all the staff treat you like family! my wife and i eat here weekly, sometimes two or three times a week. favorites are pot roast, chicken and dumplings, salmon and the grilled chicken and all the deserts.

cig is the bomb digiddy yo!!!!!. what a great place to sit and have a meal,the food is awsome and the atmosphere is one of a kind.true downhomefood with a downhomefeel...the owners have gone beyond the call of duty when it come to customer service!!!!!..
