amazing food! this is my second time i have been here now with a friend after hiking to the mt lofty summit. last time we had wood oven pizza and it was amazing. so i thought this time i would try something different and the fish burger and salad was nice and fresh! their coffees were decent as well. drop by and try it out!

our dining experience here was terrific. we arrived for dinner and were greeted by a lovely waitress named giulia. she advised us on menu selections and nothing was too much for her. the food was delicious with really fresh produce and there was something for everyone on the menu. we will be back!

went on short notice on a friday night. we had a guest with us who had allergies and this was accommodated by the kitchen. food was all delicious and servings were generous.

staff were friendly and attentive. despite being very busy it did not damper the ambience. we had the cascada pizza and halloumi dish as a side. it was delicious. the pizza was mostly meat based but did not feel heavy. highly recommended. we will be coming back

not a bad place for dinner. i ordered the vegan burger. the fillings and sweet potato fries it came with were great, unfortunately the bun was dry so i didn't end up eating it. for dessert just had a scoop of hazelnut gelati - flavour was reasonable but it had a strange gooey like texture? not sure if maybe it was not kept at the right temp or not.

we love the pulled pork or chicken rolls. however we tried the shared plate shishkebab style lamb, beef and chicken cubes on skewers. the beef cubes and lamb cubes were the toughest meat i have eaten in my 74 years on this planet.! they were not freshly cooked but tired dry and re-heated. the chicken was tasty. the dish described as'meat plate' for $25.50 is a disgrace and demeans the wonderful service that the floor staff provides.

the food is well priced for the amout of food you order and staff are happy to substitute ingredients.
i don't eat eggs & usually ask for a protein substitute such as beans, cascada always happily tell me they can help me out with a smile.

i rated a 4 rather than a 5 due to my last visit. my partner always orders the gluten free french toast on the side & i share them every time. (it's become a little tradition)
when we last visited, the french toast weren't a large portion like the serving in my photo, but just two slices of thin bread, not sure if it was a one off, if so please bring back the original with the cream topping & berries.

nachos to start - a generous serve to share.
he had steak special with fried potatoes & greek salad & it was wolfed down.
i had crab linguine - also a generous serve. a waitress offered to put the leftovers in a takeaway container for me: i didn't need to ask.
she had lamb shank with a rich sauce & creamy mash. meat falling off the bone - delish.
i was tempted by the wood oven pizzas.
i also had a raspberry & pistachio tart to take away. yum.

in all honesty, i didn't actually have super high hopes for this place. we went here today for an 80th birthday lunch and i was pleasantly surprised. the service was friendly and attentive and the girls always had a smile on their face. a small negative was that it took a while for our meals to come out. but once they did, i was quite happy with my choice of crab linguine. the combination of blue swimmer crab meat and chilli with the rosé sauce was pretty standard but they did it well. nothing was too overpowering, however the chilli was a bit lacking (mind you, i do like a bit of kick to my meals!). my husband had salt and pepper squid and the serve was really substantial and the squid was well coated and well cooked. coffees weren't amazing, but certainly not horrible. all other meals served looked delicious! nice fit out too :) all in all it was an unexpectedly nice dining experience!

great local place with some wonderful vegan options. honestly, there is an extensive list  vegan options and the ones i've tried are delicious, and other's all look yum. definitely recommend the vegan burger with sweet potato chips. it's also a great place for a coffee, such nice surroundings and it's great going in there on a saturday morning when everyone's come down from mt lofty.

agree its a nice fit out. our service was good. the wood oven pizzas were definitely good but we found it a little overpriced for what we got. perhaps the "burnside factor" in play! would return.

positives and negatives. service was quite slow but it was pretty busy. on the whole the food was of a good standard, well cooked and well presented. good serving sizes. the only thing i found a bit rude was that one of our party asked for her egg to have yolk removed. in other words egg white only. she is unable to tolerate yolks. apparently the chef was too precious to separate an egg so she had to remove the egg all together from the burger. not great, not accomodating. too bad if any diner has an allergy or dislike. probably won't visit again as most other places much more accomodating

have been there a few times with the family. great fit out! the place looks amazing! great range of juices and alcoholic beverages. 

love the alternative milks! love having my soy cappuccino in those red mugs!

went here with my girlfriend for dinner. what a place! a little gem in the leafy suburbs of burnside! food was divine, will definitely be bringing friends back!

the wood-oven pizzas were fantastic. the thin crust is particularly noteworthy, its truly something special and must be tried. the shared meat dishes were also delicious. there is also a great selection of beers and wine to choose from. we finished off the night with a coffee. the milk had a beautiful velvet texture and the flavour of the coffee was great.

the cafe is in a great location at the base of the drive to waterfall gully. the service from the friendly staff was impeccable. i had a great experience here as have many friends i have spoken to, so i will definitely be back!
