best spinach gnocchi on the planet!. on mon. we dined atcasanovafor lunch. the patio area is very cozy and pretty. grilled artichoke to start was very good, the spinach gnocchi was absolutely to die for! already want to go back for this dish again! :)

not seduced by casanova.casanovahas a great wine list at not so great prices but that's the biggest positive for this restaurant. lots of waiters running around and not achieving much, whilst looking like they are important. the food is ok but certainly not memorable apart form the artisanal bread (?) with churned butter and monterey sea salt which was just bland!

new chef makes old restaurant better than ever. after i heard there was a new chef, i tried out casanova.casanovastarted to go downhill about 6 years ago and after that started to happen i didn't care much for this once famous restaurant in carmel. after i heard there was a new chef i tried this place out again and was amazed how much of a difference there was. i am glad they finally got a change behind the doors and it is no longer full of employees like mcdonalds.
