the food was pretty good and was just fun and new to try. if you stick to getting pork, rice and beans, you won't be disappointed and you have to try the plantains! service was fine but slow and will probably come back again when i'm feeling like something different to try.

excellent food and service. we went out to celebrate tonight 8 people total. we had a private room and andres (our server) was friendly efficient and accommodating. everyone of us were very quiet once the food arrived thats because the only sound you heard were yummy sounds from all. : ) they gave us complimentary plates and my sister ( the birthday day girl ) received a happy birthday song and dessert on the house ( very kind )
the prices are very reasonable and the food is yummy ! you won't be disappointed. we will be going back. thank you casa blanca staff. you have a gem place here in idaho.
much success !

a taste of little havana, fl without driving 2837 miles. i lived in miami for 10 years back in the 80's. when i wanted the best cuban food it was time to head to little havana. over the years i've really missed that great cuisine. well yesterday my daughter flew up from miami and we went to the casablanca for lunch. i ordered the cuban sandwich on sweet bread and she ordered the pollo asado. all i can say is the tastes were a blast from the past. exactly as i remember them. i'm headed back today for lunch again. the service was fantastic and the waitress shared that the family that owns this restaurant came from cuba 4 years ago. i highly recommend this restaurant and there prices sure don't break the bank.

terrific food. this was my first foray into cuban food. we went in since a cuban buddy said it was like his grandma's cooking. i love my grandma's cooking but after this place i wished she was cuban. all four of our dishes were really good and filled us up. 5/5

i must of come on a bad night, because casablanca was absolutely the worst dining experience i have ever had. the great reviews both on urbanspoon and on google were extremely promising and caused me to choose this restaurant for a date night with my boyfriend. the restaurant was pretty empty when we arrived (we were one of two tables during dinner rush) and it took over 20 minutes to get drinks and our order taken. i ordered a beef dish and my boyfriend ordered a cuban sandwich. when my food arrived, i was extremely disappointed. i was given a pork dish with huge bits of gristly fat and maybe two small chunks of meat. the side i had ordered was also wrong and overcooked. my boyfriend's sandwich was dry and very small for the price. the waitress ignored us and would not refill our drinks, and we ended up having to flag someone down for our check (by this time, we were the only table with two members of waitstaff walking around, talking to each other and playing on their phones). i was relieved to get out of there after waiting at the counter to pay my bill for almost ten minutes. i will never, ever return to this restaurant and will encourage everyone i know to stay away!

decided to try casablanca for lunch even though its a bit if a drive from where i work. arrived around noon and parking lot was just about empty. not a good sign. went in anyway and we were seated immediately. not what you'd call upscale de or, but clean and comfortable. i ordered the puerco asado. was not expecting the huge serving i got. probably should have split in half and taken half home for dinner. concentrated on the pork which was excellent. the yucca was also very good but just didn't have the room for it. waitress was very good - attentive but not too attentive. discovered reason the place was so empty when we got there is that the lunch crowd here doesn't really get going until around 1:00. recommend you give thus place a try. i will definitely be back.

riverwi. made plans to "try" tucanos brazilian grill before catching american hustle at edwards theater. on our way we passed casablanca cuban grill and commented that i never saw the place before, and made a mental note of it. fast forward to tucanos .... my hunch that we were about to enter a hectic theme park - my girlfriend called it cheesecake factory in disguise - was validated. holy crap. now what? .... oh yeah, back to casablanca. immediate good vibe upon entering. quiet, cozy, unpretentious. refreshing, after admittedly focusing too much attention lately on downtown boise's's portland wannabe style, and and paying those prices. our sweet, friendly hostess/waitress took care of us and made us feel like we were at home - her home. in cuba. then the food ... it was great. and cheap!! go. just go. this is a place that should be patronized not just for an authentic food experience, but for an authentic from-the-heart experience. tucanos ..... what were we thinking?

divine. absolutely love this place. i am in boise working and was in the mood for some cuban food, i am so glad i decided to choose casablanca cuban grill. we started off with the masitas de peurco fritas, slow cooked pork served with garlic sauce. it was bursting with flavor and so tender and juicy. great start to an even better dinner entree. i had the carne con papas, (beef and potatoes cooked in a creole sauce) served with white crice and black beans. again, excellent choice and very filling with a variety of flavors. i had the cuban latte with my dinner. i will definitely be back anytime i am in town. excellent place, the atmosphere and vibe is good, they even have live cuban music from time to time.
