we are visiting california from las vegas, and we were looking for agoodpizza in oceanside. carmine's really blew us away. we got a caesar and antipasto salad. i can't figure out which was more tasty. they were both great! dressings were unique and packed with great flavors.
as we waited for the pizza, i looked around and realized how charming the restaurant was. lots i exposed brick and the dining area was quaint. the staff was friendly. it seems like a place locals love to frequent, but we felt very welcome.
the pizza came up, and i realized how awesome the place really was. piping hot. we got the pie, and then a pepperoni and a cheese for our kids. the pie (the pizza is actually named after the greek letter, but i don't have it on my phone) was super good. it has some ingredients that made me wonder (dried cherries) but when it all came together, it was delish. crispy thin crust was spot on. the whole family loved it. if you are local, you already know howgoodit is. if you are visiting for a day or more, your trip won't be complete without a trip to carmine's!
